This stuff covers my resin 3D prints really well. I only use it with my airbrush. The color's nice and solid after a couple of layers and letting it dry properly. Like I said, I use it with my airbrush, and the primer's consistency is good, though sometimes I need to use paint thinner to keep my airbrush from clogging. But it sticks to my 3D prints super well with no clumps. I tried brushing it on, but that didn't work out so well, so I'm just sticking with the airbrush – that works wonders. ... show more

I’ve used a lot of this product. It has a smell that is its own. Not bad but there. Sprays finely and covers completely. You can apply coats one after another if you’re bored and it’s hard to overcoat. I apply it to large items of various composition and it sticks to everything the same. Doesn’t run and leaves a chalk like finish in feel. Like talcum powder. Nearly smooth with several coats even at pretty heavy application and light application. What I’m saying is it is consistent. If it wasn’t for the smell which is weird to me it would be close to perfect. Dries fast and washes out easy af. For others the smell may not be bothersome. I still give it 5 stars. Will get more when needed Btw i use this for the opposite of black( duh) for my iridescent and metallics and it is great for this purpose and delivers the appropriate affect finish. Mica mixes pronounce correctly when needing white base as well. ... show more

I started painting 3d prints the last 6 or so months and needed the right type of paints and primers for it. I do not like airbrushing, always have done better with hand painting and I really like how this brand has the prediluted paints and undiluted, they say they are made for hand painting as well. By far the best WHITE airbrush primer I have used. It covers in 2 passes with 3 being fully opaque. Flows through my Iwata Eclipse CS marvelously. No clogging. No tip dry. No reducing needed.

This primer doesn’t stick well to plastic models as it is advertised as a good primer for plastic models. I’ve washed the plastic with some and water and still it isn’t a good primer.

Exactly as described. Nicpro is the paint I prefer for use building models. Can use it with airbrush or regular brush or sponge brush. Easy clean up with warm water. For my airbrush I use an airbrush cleaner solution. I use the Nicpro thinner when needed.

    • This primer has no redeeming qualities other than price and volume.

Nothing about this primer was a good experience. No matter how much shaking I gave it, it was clumpy. I had to use nearly a 70% primer to paint mixture just to keep it from clogging my airbrushes within a few seconds. I could actually see the pigment separating from the base as it sat in the bottle. When it sprayed on the model, it was with a fuzzy, velvety texture that flaked off easily. Paint coats on top of this primer would also flake off right down to the bare plastic with minimal handling. This all happened with the gray and the black primer. I refunded and returned it all without bothering to try the white primer. I tried to go for more volume for price, and it got me a terrible product. Just spend the extra money to get black, gray, and white Badger Stynylrez primer... you'll be amazed how much better a good quality primer can be straight out of the bottle, no thinning, no clogging, no clumping, no flaking. Nicpro primer is just a bad time. ... show more
