    • Honda crf50 niche carb
2006 Honda crf50 carb issues. Purchased the Niche carb to try out, started right up and idle was good. After first ride, Swapped out main jet and slide and needle from stock carb, ran just like stock carb, thumbs up baby. Will tweek little more. But all and all would Purchase again.

This new carb would over flow fuel after installed so I put the original float in it from my old carb and that stopped it. It also bogs down when open throttle. I noticed the brass nipple where the air vent tube goes was missing a hole. How is the carburetor bowl supposed to vent without this? You get what you pay for I guess. It runs at least, but not great. 2 stars for the price only, but the quality sucks. ... show more

    • Can't Achieve Smooth Idle
I purchased the carb for a 2004 CRF50. Upon starting I noticed it ran way too rich at higher speeds. I then noticed the needle clip was in the 3rd position. I moved the needle up to the 1st clip (factory spec is 2nd from the top) and it ran much better in mid to high rpm range. However, I was unable to get the engine to idle smoothly. The factory initial air jet setting is 1.5 turns. But the engine would not even idle at this setting. I had to turn the screw out 2.5-3 turns to get it to idle. But no matter how I adjusted, I could not achieve a stable and smooth idle setting. I removed and returned the carburetor to Amazon. I decided to rebuild my original factory carburetor. ... show more
