  • Great For Mid Size Motorcycles
Size: 112 Links
Running this on my 500cc 4 months now. Low priced and marketed for 250cc but tinsel strength in same as chains for 1200 cc. Original honda chain lasted 11000 miles. Time will tell

  • 73 Honda XL250 - 100 link is correct chain
Size: 100 Links
Seems to be a good chain. Never bought an o-ring chain before. They're a little wider overall because the presence of the o-rings spaces the side plates out a bit. On this 73 XL250, which has the maximum allowable 15 tooth front sprocket, there's just enough room to fit this wider chain and not contact the case. As far as the recommended number of links for a 73 XL250 - Amazon says 102. That's NOT correct. Mine had a worn 98 link which put the rear axle right in the center of the adjustment slot. I checked my Clymer repair manual (see photo) and for a pre '76 XL250 it says 100 link with 98 as a option. 1976 model is the 102 link. ... show more

  • Solid build, strong yet heavy
Size: 90 Links
Just installed and gotta say twice the size as far as the “heavy duty” is concerned! Fit perfectly for the quad ordered and didn’t have to cut a link or mess around. Was on in 10-15 minutes tops! Haven’t risen more than a test run so have yet to tell if it stretches easily, but seems way better than other chains I’ve purchased!! One thing is it’s a lot heavier.. which I’m okay with if I don’t have to but one every month ... show more

I had the chain installed and by 2 weeks in i had to adjust the chain bc it was stretching & burning. i had to baby it everyday to preserve the condition & tonight it snapped while i was driving. This chain literally put my well being in jeopardy for being so low quality. DO NOT TRUST THIS CHAIN WITH YOUR LIFE. 0 stars. ... show more

  • Quality Chain on the Cheap!
Size: 118 Links
I have a KTM 300 XC-W Six Days which I ride a lot, and I ride hard. I was tired of buying pricey chains, only for them to prematurely start to fail. Prematurely, as in, stretching, links a little oversized and wearing on chain guides & guards, rollers becoming noisy, and O/X-rings cracking. I was nervous buying an inexpensive chain, as I ride enduro single track, solo, in the early AM, and would hate to be stranded by chain failure. Welp, that has not the case with this chain! I’ve put 40 hours on it so far, with very minimal signs of stretching and wear. I also like the bare-steel look and haven’t seen any rust. As I have done with all my chains, after every third or fourth ride (while the chain is still warm), I’ll hit it with WD-40 or Yamalube Off-Road Chain Lube. I’ve found less-is-more with this kind of maintenance - if I spray after every ride, I end up attracting more dirt/grit to the chain and sprockets, which defeats the point and wears components prematurely. Anyway, when this chain finally gives up, I’ll buy another. So far it’s served me well and the quality for cost has been unbeatable! ... show more
