How do I know if this sprocket fits my go kart? Compare your original setup. It requires a #40, #41 or #420 roller chain, 1" keyed live axle, 1/4" keyway and enough room for the 9-3/4" OD. Does it have a keyway? The hub has a 1/4" keyway. The package includes 1 Go Kart sprocket and 2 set screws positioned at 90 degrees, but the key is not included. Reuse or purchase a key that matches your axle. What material is this go kart sprocket made of? It is made of medium carbon steel. The electroplated finish helps resist rust and surface corrosion during normal storage and use, but regular maintenance is still recommended. Does installation require special tools? Tool needs vary by vehicle. Clean the axle, align the keyway and chain line, install a compatible key, and tighten both set screws. Check chain alignment and tension before operating the go kart. Can it be used on a mini bike or an off-road go kart? Use is possible only when the vehicle has the matching chain, 1" keyed live axle, 1/4" keyway, sufficient sprocket clearance and correct chain alignment. Vehicle type alone does not confirm compatibility.
