These curtains are pretty good IMO. They have nice metal grommets and the material feels decent. Mine are still creased a bit in places from the way they are folded and packed. I sprayed them with water and tumbled them in the dryer for a little bit to try to get rid of the creases, and it did get rid of them a bit, but not totally. Perhaps if I ironed them it would rid the creases completely. I kinda figured they'll unwrinkle over time from hanging and I'm not too worried about it as the wrinkles/creases are much less noticeable now. We'll see. Also, it's only been about 14 dats since they've been installed/hung. Now on to some other info. I bought these because I work nights and live in central Florida, and my room is obviously quite bright during the day. Particularly in the winter months as the sun is to the south in the sky and one of my rooms windows faces the south. I already have horizontal slat blinds that have been installed for almost 2 years now and they cut down some on the sunlight entering, but not that much. Honestly, I don't really have a problem sleeping with the brightness, but my girlfriend does when she comes over and crashes with me during the day, so I figured I'd install some curtains, for her sake. Right now it's about 2:30pm on a sunny day and I took some pics to show the amount of light they cut down. I have the grey ones and they definitely cut down the light a ton, but they are not "black out" IMO, but that's fine with me. See the attached photos. One pic shows the curtains closed and also the horizontal slat blinds behind them are closed. Another pic shows with curtains open and slat blinds closed. My house is near a major street, and there is a construction project going on nearby, which means I am often jolted awake by the sounds of eighteen-wheelers, dump trucks, huge vehicles hauling excavators, etc. thundering down the road, along with the regular car noises. Additionally, the geography around my house causes a wind tunnel on the back side, and anytime there is a storm or cold front, the wind goes howling past, often waking me up in the night. Add to that a neighbor with a monstrously loud AC unit which sits right near my bedroom, and you get a whole lot of noise pollution when I am trying to sleep. After putting these curtains up three days ago, I can attest that I woke up one morning surprised to find that all of my tall potted plants in the backyard had been knocked over, apparently by a wind storm, and I hadn't heard it! I also have not been woken up by any truck noise -- you can still hear them, but the edge has been taken off -- and the regular car noises have been significantly reduced. It's been cold recently, so I haven't been able to test whether it blocks the neighbor's AC unit or not, but the reduction in road and wind noise has been great. I didn't really feel like I needed the light-blocking feature prior to this, but since putting these curtains up, I've really noticed the benefits. I had gotten used to the street lights shining through my blinds even when they were closed, but now I can enjoy complete darkness when I get into bed. They also block out the morning sun pretty well when I wake up (I haven't noticed any light shining through the fabric), though I'm not sure how well they would function as total blackout curtains when viewed from the outside, since I don't really use them for that purpose. Excellent Blackout Blinds but Measure Carefully! Each panel is 42", but once put onto a rod they'll cover less than 42" because of the the way the sit around the rod. I lost about 5 inch when on the Rod. I wanted pieces which would cover about 45in on each side knowing I would be off by 3in as these are 42 and I really needed 45. So really I got 37in each side when on which was waaaay less than I expected. The good thing is, I ordered 2 packs so I had more than enough to cover the area. You can always use colored safety pins if you want to join a couple of sections together. Anyway, not really the makers issue, mainly mine for not being a curtain professional. haha. Purchased to help keep the cold from the windows out of my daughter's bedroom. Her room is on an exterior wall in the basement and we noticed it gets quite cold near the window. These curtains have helped make that better (she forgets to close them sometimes). Blackout quality is also very good and very similar to our much more expensive set for our patio door. Love these curtains! They are truly blackout, the color is beautiful, and I loved that they had them in the exact size I needed. 70 inch curtains are not standard curtain size, so I was lucky to find these. And the price is very fair! Would recommend.

these curtains are awesome. it’s not completely blackout — there’s a pink hue from the curtains. but it’s not bothersome at all. i have to set an early alarm to get up and open the curtains or else i will not be able to wake up! so you know they’re working great.
