Mistakenly I ordered the “Ivory” color and I loved it (darker ones pictured” it is very thin, lightweight and the texture very realistic. I thought it was what I was looking for but I was looking for white color. Ordered white (pictured) and doesn’t look like the Ivory color… it is thicker and the texture is different, the feel as well. I’ll keep it anyways bc I haven't find a better option!

These curtains do seem to block the sun from getting through. So if your windows face into the sun and you need a blocker, these will work fine for you. They are on the heavy side. So a proper curtain rod should be used with them. The smaller, low cost, rods might not hold the weight of these. You can stream out any wrinkles and they clean easily. They are heavy enough that any air vents near by will not make them sway back and forth. They will be still so that adds to the light blocking by not moving around. I recommend these as they should last a long time if taken care of.

ITEM: NICETOWN 100% Absolutely Blackout Linen Curtains (Beige, 95") PROS: - These truly are blackout. They keep our bedroom completely dark. You will have to overlap on the edges though and have a compatible rod, so make sure to measure. - The length is accurate and it is possible to hem them at home. - For the beige, the color is accurate to what’s shown, which has historically been a huge issue for me when getting curtains online. - 2-piece package babbbbyyy! - These are heavy. After testing them with an open window, they have great draft prevention power. NEUTRALS: - It definitely holds wrinkles, from both packaging and any manipulation. CONS: - Holy hell trying to open/close these by sliding is difficult. I would only get them if you don’t really intend on moving them often or use clip rings. WOULD I PURCHASE?: Yes, in terms of specific use for blackout and not opening and closing them, they’re pretty great. At $46.95 (at the time of writing) I think they’re fairly priced. CONCLUSION: These really are blackout (but make sure you have an l-rod the will allow them to cover the edges) and are heavy - great at draft prevention. They do wrinkle and hold any manipulation though, and are really difficult to slide if they’re directly on a bar. Overall, I’d recommend them. I have to say that these curtains are very attractive for light blocking ones. It's been my experience that light blocking curtains are often heavy (not just in weight, but in look), stiff and show wrinkles easily. These did have some wrinkles when I unpacked them, but 10 min. in the dryer with a damp washcloth took them right out, no ironing needed. Anyway, they have a lighter, drapier look than my other light blocking curtains. The color is very soft, a lovely muted light sage color, and as you can see, they hang beautifully. Make no mistake, they may be lighter weight than what I am used to, but they sure do block the sunlight, every bit of it. The fabric is a poly blend, which I don't mind at all for the ease of care. It has a woven linen look and feels fairly soft, even with the nubbiness of the weave. On the other side is the blocking fabric, which feels a bit "grabby" (as in rubbery, but just a little). I am not sure what this fabric is, but it will obviously help with drafts and hopefully cut down on outside noise. Fingers crossed on that last feature, since the pup likes to bark at grass growing. I think these curtains are a very good value and am very happy with the way they look in my home.
