Initial reaction is that the bristle discs are OK - functionally equivalent to the 3m product. But - - - purchasers should be aware of two potential issues with this product: 1. The color coding does not match 3M. The description in the Amazon ad defines the grits for each of the colors. 2. The description says that 6 - 5mm (1/8") mandrels are supplied with the kit. I got six mandrel, but only three were 1/8"; the other three were the smaller 3/32" mandrel that is also a standard size. The idea of having a mandrel for each grit makes a lot of sense, but it is very inconvenient if it is necessary to change collets. I made it work by setting up the smaller mandrel with the finer-grade discs - I reckon I will normally be using the coarse grits (up through 220) before switching over to a sanding buff, so I won't have to deal with swapping out collets. ... show more

    • Not as nice or as flexible as 3M, but they do work.
I thought they were just the same piece of plastic disk in different colors. They are not, they are different grits. If you are using them for flat surfaces they are probably great. They are not as flexible as 3M disks and do not do as good a job getting into tight spaces. The 80 grit 3M will get into tight corners and de-fuzz wood carvings. The 80 grit of this brand will erase any details, and you could probably carve wood sculptures with them. ... show more

    • Different Colors, Same Abrasion
I looked at these abrasive wheels closely under magnification. While they have 6 different colors, and are marked as though they are different level of abrasives, the bristles are identical. They are not thinner or thicker. They are not smoother or rougher. They are not spaced closer or further. Apart from the color, they are exactly the same. If you want 60 bristle disks, this set will work. If you want 10 of 6 different levels of abrasion, look elsewhere. The Discs are packaged in plastic bags and labeled. came w 3/3 mandrels. I've been using silicon wheels to work my silver and the discs are a welcome change to get into corners around bezels. They're hard and not flexible and you can place 3 discs on the mandrels provided and 2 on the my existing mandrels. Waiting for the first set to wear down to be able to fit into a ring. The price point is great compared to the named brands. Wish they had higher numbers like 1500 or 2000. ... show more

You get a baggie with 60 pieces of mixed radial discs made in China. The color and grit do not match to 3M discs, so be sure to print it from the product description. There is definitely a difference between these and 3M, these being a very low quality. The mandrels are nothing to scream about, 3 of one size, 3 of another.     • nice, but not 3/32
These appear to b fine and work well after a day or two so far. HOWEVER, I had to take the "3/32" shanks and rotate them on my grinder to get them to fit in both of my Foredom flex shafts. I haven't tried the 1/8" shanks as my foredom setups are for 3/32. They come in separate ziplock baggies for each color with t grit marked o each bag. ... show more
