63 year old woman here. I've been using this machine for 45 days. Here are my observations: Pros: Assembly: Super easy to assemble. I was able to assemble it myself in about 15 minutes. Instructions were easy to follow and the assembly parts were clearly marked and the screws etc. were shrink wrapped and clearly marked. One of the easiest assembly projects I've had. Weight: This is surprising light weight and extremely sturdy. I'm currently in between two residences and I'm able to easily carry it out to my car (Honda CR-V) and drive it back and forth, carrying it back into the other residence. I've been doing this for the first 45 days and I've had no issues. Odd as this sounds, it's almost portable. Would be nice if there were an additional component to fold it up, but otherwise, it's so lightweight, you could take it anywhere, provided you could fit it into your car. It's about 4 1/2 feet in length for reference. Use: I've never used a rowing machine before, so I'm a beginner. I've been able to slowly work up to 50 minutes, every other day. The unit that keeps track of time, rows, calories is easy to read. It flows with my movements and doesn't feel awkward - extremely easy for me to use. I'm also able to adjust the resistance and feel confident I'll be able to increase my resistance and increase my upper body strength over time - a fitness goal of mine. Possible Cons: I'm extremely short (5 foot, 2 inch). It's perfect for my size. That said, someone who has longer legs may have issues? Not sure if the height of the hand bar section is adjustable? Doesn't seem to be? Sorry - I already threw away the instructions because it was working for me. If this is inaccurate, please let other reviewers know. 10,000 count - once you hit 10,000 total rows, it resets to zero. Minor complaint - it would be nice if it supported a 5 character mask. I am very impressed with this small/compact rowing machine. It is very affordable, easy to assemble, very sturdy and lightweight enough to move around easily. I have only had it for six days but I have used it five out of the last six days. I started on resistance level 6 and it is enough resistance to start out with for me. I feel a bit of soreness in my muscles but not so much that I want to quit. Being in my early 60s and a bit overweight, my main goal is to gain more muscle tone and eventually lose some weight. Since the rowing machine works so many muscle groups, I believe this is the exercise to accomplish my goal. ... show more

I love this rower! I’m a 50 plus woman and I bought this rower on a whim. I was tired of walking for exercise and was having lower back pain when I walked outside on concrete. I was also struggling to find time to do weights in my schedule. I remembered how much I liked kayaking on vacation in Michigan several years ago and decided to look for a rower. Based on the reviews and since the price was right, I decided to go for it. I am now rowing at least 3x or more for 30 minutes and today I went for 45! (I would never exercise for longer than a 1/2 hour before). I’m strengthening my core and knees, I have less back pain, and I’m building up the muscles in my legs and arms. I have made two playlists and there is a new channel on my t.v. called WorldScapes which gives me an aerial tour of several countries. I especially like the tours of water and beaches. Rowing is not only giving me a great workout, it’s almost a spiritual experience for me.The machine was easy to assemble and is holding up great! The padding on the chair meets my needs. The Niceday rowing machine was easy to assemble and takes up very little space, even while using it. The seat is comfy, as seats go, and the rowing is smooth. The resistance adjustment is simple to mess with while using. Great machine that I will enjoy. The display works fine as well.

The machine is sturdy and pretty easy to assemble. The main bar the seat moves on is at a fixed incline which gives my legs a good workout since you're pushing your body weight up the incline each stroke. It's a better leg workout than I've gotten with other rowers (with a main bar that's level horizontally). But the hydraulic cylinder provides very little resistance--there's only a slight difference between levels 1 (easiest) and 16 (most difficult). This might work for people without much upper body strength, but if you're looking for a combination aerobic / upper body workout, this won't cut it. ... show more
