Finally tried this performance mask. Boy does this thing work. Looks good and is of very good quality. Comfortable to and love the fit. I had ordered another kind before this and the camo color didn’t even match the pic let alone I didn’t like the material. Gonna be wearing this bad boy every workout conditioning my cardiovascular one workout at a time. Lungs will become stronger and my breathing will enhance. Nothing like being fit at the core’s. Any workout, I mean any. 4 position levels to increase restriction of air. Added value & filter accessories. Start off @ level one to test your breathing during the course of your workout.     • Effective for increasing challenge of workout, but not for high altitude endeavors

I ordered this device to help prepare my body for a high altitude ski trip in which I would be operating at lower oxygen levels. The unit is well packaged, and as comfortable as you might expect for a mask that deprives you of oxygen. The mask is well designed with 10 or 12 settings -- more than enough to fine tune the oxygen flow. This mask does a good job of throttling air flow -- that is what it is designed to do. Wearing this mask will increase the difficulty of your workouts, just like strapping additional weight to your body will do. It seems like this mask might be advertised at preparing someone for low oxygen environments. I don't think it is effective for that purpose. I've done a lot of research and think that the only thing which can do THAT is a $2000 unit that actually substitutes nitrogen for oxygen in your air supply (e.g. a tent while you sleep or a whole room unit). In the end, I had a great trip -- in part because I went to Utah instead of Colorado and stayed below 9000 feet most of the time. ... show more

I love it! It definitely has helped made me feel stronger with my workouts, like I got a lot more done because I had to put more effort into it. And it’s helped me learn how to control my breathing a little better and improve my lungs. BUT if you ever start to feel like woozy at all then obviously take it off. I know that’s common sense, you don’t want to pass out by working yourself too hard. But there will be, and probably have been, some dumb people who just thought they’d push through it and then passed out because they went too far. Be smart and be safe!! The mask overall is good but not great. The mask’s strong point is definitely inhaling but lacks a good seal for exhaling. The seal around the nose area breaks and allows air to escape, that air gets pushed into the eyes. It would be great if the top band had some type of adjustability somewhat like the bottom band does. Moreover it’s pretty difficult to remove/change filters. The mask can be broken down into parts but to access the filter assemble it’s a different story. 3/5 stars because of seal, filter changing, and adjustability. ... show more

Purchased this in preparation for a 18,000 feet altitude climb in the Everest region of Nepal. Works exceptionally well. This will be my second trip to the Everest region. I wish I had used it while training for my first trip. I would highly recommend this for anyone training for high altitude. It certainly gives that feeling of being at low oxygen levels. This product is comfortable to use with the rubber seals that fits well around the mouth and nose. You need to get used to it. UFC gym Waikele has mandated that all members wear mask at all times while in the gym. I believe this is a good thing cause it shows how serious my gym is in maintaining a clean environment for me to train. Don’t want the gym be forced to shut down once again. I tried using cotton face mask and also a dri fit Material wrap around face covering, either one just completely restricts my ability to breath once the material gets soaked from my perspiration, also the material starts to smell 1 hour into my workout. I train to increase my heart rate to 80% of my MHR so my head and face drips a lot. Since using this Next GEN Fit mask it makes it more manageable to train hard with a face covering. I’ve always wanted to give hypoxia training a shot, COVID-19 gym face mask mandate has given an opportunity to give this a try. It takes a couple of days to get used to it, I’m now in day 3 and I’m now loving it. I can feel that it’s training my lungs like a muscle laboring it to expand and contract, the results of this form of conditioning should be known once I lower my race time on the 14+ mile 35 obstacle Spartan Beast mountain course in Hawaii... ... show more
