Overall, this is a great handheld. I initially was troubled by the reduction in battery life, but it isn't as extreme as I first thought (it does reduce it more quickly, but not twice as fast) and the vibration is a nice feature to have, although it is a bit loud and doesn't have the "HD" feel of modern vibration motors. More like the old school Dual Shock vibration rotary offset weights (and, since it's kind of see through, you can see them in there and that's what the look like too). It's very comfortable to me, with hands bigger than average but not gigantic. The sticks, D-Pad and triggers feel good. The buttons are a bit stiff at first but get a bit more comfortable as you spend time with it. I am extremely pleased with the accuracy and feel of the joysticks. That was my biggest hope and it nails things there. I don't use the turbo or additional button features really ever, myself, but they're there if you want them. I do use the two slots on the back for additional Switch carts - handy, I wish it had 7, haha - and the included HDMI out and USB C in works extremely well as a portable "dock." Very nice to be able to do that without having to worry about setting up a regular dock when, say, visiting somewhere you have access to the TV. I will say, I thought that mine had an issue initially and received a replacement... that did not work right. One of its buttons was stuck sending signal at all times no matter what. So that was a bit concerning. But the one I have, and kept, did not in fact have a problem it turns out, and it has worked well for the two months or so that I have been using it. I will update my review if there are unexpected issues later, but I'm hoping it continues to perform well for me and make me feel satisfied in the purchase.

These controllers are so functional. You can't beat the price especially when it has rumble AND gyro built in. Other 3rd party controllers don't have these two features, which are very useful for me. Only thing it doesn't have is nfc but I never use it. Love the USB pass-through so you can charge while playing. Only issue is when you're playing and need to plug the USB cable in to charge, it will disconnect. You can quickly resolve it by putting the switch to sleep then wake it up again to get it to recognize the controllers again. This means you do not have to unplug and replug the cable, unlike what other reviewers mentioned. The connector is very stable and solid -- there are two clips on the side to hold the console. I have no issue with it being loose. I do not get disconnect errors unlike with my Joycons. The only thing I wish it has is a rubberized right stick. Only the left stick is rubberized. This is weird because they give you 3 swappable options for the right stick but all of them are smooth plastic, so your R thumb can easily slide off the stick due to lack of grip. Other buttons feel great -- face buttons feel Xbox/PS/Pro controllers, dpad is very clicky like the Joycons, which is what I prefer. I've been playing my Switch in handheld more since I got this. It's great quality with gyro and rumble for an excellent price. Everyone who plays in handheld should get this.

It works fantastic! The controller feels great to play with and actually helps make certain games feel better. For me third person and first person shooters got a big upgrade in how they feel to play. The Halifax joysticks are what makes this big difference. Because there’s a dock built in makes the switch an even bigger portability monster because there’s no need to bring a dock with you for tv use, it just does it! You will need all the same stuff as a dock but at least you don’t have the dock taking up space while you travel. It can store two game cartridges so if you’re into multiplayer party games on the go Mario Kart, Mario Party, or Smash might take up those spots. I would like to see more Funtastic N64 colors to come to this product because if there was a nice Fire Orange version I might’ve bought two. Overall it’s solid product and super convenient for travel play. Definitely worth it if you’re always on the go like me.

So nothing is perfect obviously and this product is no exception. I am giving it 5 stars not only because it's a fantastic product but mostly because the manufacture stands behind the product. Pros: Comfortable to hold Is a full docking station Great buttons and sticks Great customer service Cons: My unit for some reason only lasted 2 months. OK, I know that Con might seem like a huge issue. But, I'm going to chalk that up to a fluke and give the product the benefit of the doubt. The redeeming factor here is that I was able to get in touch with the company within minutes, and within minutes a replacement unit was on its way to me. Given the price point the product comes in at I am going to give a pass on having a unit that didn't last very long. In short, Great service, love the product when it's working. I will update my review pending the longevity of my second unit. I do recommend this product!
