Just isn’t OEM. I installed this entire kit and the throttle was stick wide open, it just isn’t the same quality as Yamaha original equipment, once I bought the OEM parts the repair was finally complete. I did read all of the reviews for this to give it an honest chance but ended up getting all OEM cables and carburetor from partzilla and eBay. The cables in this kit are cheap amd not the correct length. The choke “teet” st the end of the cable would not fit in the choke cylinder. It was a mess. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The cable ends for the choke was soldered sideways and does not fit the curved guide on the carb it came with. Making it useless

The throttle cable doesnt go in. Like period, the way the tab on the end of the cable is i cant get it through the sleeve on the carb for the life of me. Figured id keep it and use the carb for parts but the float bowl gasket leaks.

If I could give it no stars, I would. Terrible product. This is the second set (first once was missing parts) and there’s no way it works. I tried installing the carb. I managed to get the cables pulled through and hooked up to the slide/choke. It seemed weird because there was so much tension on the throttle cable, almost couldn’t even get the cable on it. Thought, no big deal right? Wrong. Bolted the top on and decided to look through. The slide won’t go down all the way. (YES I INSTALLED THE SLIDE IN THE CORRECT WAY). I didn’t use the throttle cable that came with the kit, so I thought maybe that’s the issue. I uninstalled the original throttle cable and installed the one that came with the kit. Got everything together again… SAME PROBLEM. I even tried taking apart and flipping the slide backwards…as you could guess… that made it to where I couldn’t even bolt the carb together.
