  • Good performance
Size: 180W Solar Panel
Mounted 3 in parallel on top arch on back of sail boat. Wish I had room for one more. These are being controlled with Epever controller. 600 amps of lithium. 1 freezer, 1 refrigerator and 2000 watt inverter. Batteries are usually charged by 2pm. I can go 3-4 days cloudy and they still produce a bit. Summer time they'll be charged even earlier. You'll never get 100%, but damn near!! Good product.!! ... show more

  • Good cheap panels if you can find them on sale - Updated not so good
Size: 180W Solar Panel
not 180Watts, that is the lab theoretical test. in reality you can get 125 out of them. seem to be built decently, the connectors start chalking up almost instantly in any direct sunlight. my set of 4 have been outside for 4 weeks and the one set of connectors that get about 1 hour of sunlight a day are already chalky white. This means I'll need to replace them in a year. I had 2 panels have to be replaced as they ship them with barely any protection via UPS and two arrived broken. Amazon takes care of the returns (do NOT call the maker, deal with it through amazon if you want fast service). they are not tolerant at all to any shading, even a line shadow from a wire will take the panel offline. so make sure there is no chance at all for shadows in your mounting location. 4 of these in the sunshine state and the higest power output I have seen from them is 500 watts total, so that is 125 each. so design accordinly. This is tilted correctly at the sun. I expect even less power from them when they are flat on the roof of the camper. If you find them on sale they are worth buying. but at full price there are better choices elsewhere. Update: So these are not a good buy. 180 watt panels are now months later only making 100 watts each if I am lucky. Renogy panels right next to these in the same rack are making TWICE the power and are older. Also starting to see evidence of water intrusion so these NewPowa panels are not sealed very well. Overall what felt like a good deal turned out to be overpaying for what turned into 100 watt panels. I do not recommend this brand as it feels like you are saving money when you really are not. ... show more

  • Great panel - No cords to attach to the solar controller
Size: 180W Solar Panel
I elected this size for two reasons. It covered the chicken coop roof well as well as provided me with 180W of energy. It was connected to a cheap solar controller as well as an AGM batter 12V 35amh. It should charge this battery in about 3 hrs. The panel came well packaged. Seem to be very good quality. Sealed with a glass on top. Made in Vietnam. It did not have the cord that attaches to the clip on leads to be able to attach to the solar controller. I found about a 9" ones for about $6 (otherwise, I would have to cut the male and female clips and expose the wire and I did not want to do that). I also bought the universal NewPowa roof attachment kit that worked well. You can buy a kit that has all these but it was a lot more than if you buy all of these separately. ... show more

  • Potential diode issue/friendly customer service
Size: 180W Solar Panel
I purchased this back in October. It sat for a couple months until the van conversion was ready for it. After installing it I noticed the solar charger was only reading .3-.5amps. I disconnected from the charger and read .7-.9amps from a multimeter. There customer service asked me to get into the junction box. Unfortunately the junction box isn’t the easiest thing to get into and I began to get a little frustrated. There customer service has been pretty responsive and considerate though. They are sending me another panel at the moment and have given me the option to send the other panel back in the box I receive. I’m hoping it functions much better🤞🏼 Again I haven’t experienced the panel working but I plan to update this review when the new one comes in. ... show more

  • First time panel install!
Size: 180W Solar Panel
I needed something that would fit atop a minivan next to a luggage box. This fit well and I drilled some holes into the frame so I could use an old Yakima bike mount clamp to.hold it securely. In North East US summer i can draw 8-11Amps in the sun. Further South i think i once registered 13A (Tennessee)...I've had no issues with it for the last 10 months. It doesnt perform well in the winter up here but i blame the.sun for that! ;) ... show more

  • I used 3 of these in series for over 450 watts on Bluetti EB150
Size: 180W Solar Panel
I bought these panels specifically to try to get close to the max power of 500 watts on my Bluetti EB150. In order to stay within the maximum open circuit voltage of 68 volts I found that many the Newpowa panels have an open circuit voltage of around 20 volts. I chose to go with the 180 watt panels and the voltage of 3 stayed below 60 volts open circuit. Each panel separately gave me 151 watts connected to my EB150. 2 panels in series gave 320 watts and 3 in series gave me 465 on one day and 475 watts on a slightly better sunny day. The EB240 has the same solar input specs in should do about the same. I uploaded a picture of the EB150 screen showing the input power with the 3 panels in series. ... show more

  • Will purchase again for future projects.
Size: 180W Solar Panel
Shipping was pretty slow, but the unit arrived as expected. Like the other reviewer, this unit was placed on the roof of my Kia Sedona van and run down through a charge controller and out to a battery pack made up of two Nissan Leaf batteries wired up in series. The load on the charge controller powers 12 volt items and USB plugs for various phones, tablets. The solar panel's frame is solid and had holes already drilled into the frame. I placed washers on the top and bottom of a bolt that ran to an L-bar cut about 12 inches in each of the screw hole sections. Into those I ran u bolts around the bars in my roof rack. And just for extra safety I added zip ties in case one of the bolts worked out. The connectors on the end fit perfectly in my standard MC4 connectors. The wires were thick. I have not seen more than 110 watts out of the panel, but normally my batteries are recharged before the mid day's sun. And my panels are flat on the roof. You can literally hang off the frame edge and it does not flex. ... show more
