Description

The Transom Motor Mount from Newport provides kayak enthusiasts with a quick and easy way to mount a standard transom motor to any brand of kayak with a flat mounting surface. The mount is made of heavy gauge aluminum and coated with a glossy black powder coating for salt water and fresh water protection. The mount features rigid HDPE plates for motor mounting stability, a securing aluminum locking lip, and fits directly to the widely used 3.75 x 4.75 inch bolt pattern, also known as a micro power pole bolt pattern. The mount provides a transom surface for any Newport Trolling motor model (Kayak, NV, X, and L Series) and NT300 Electric Outboard Motor. This mount keeps the propulsion centered on the boat for optimum performance.

I really like this mount. Solid heavy aluminum. Four bolting holes and this thing is tough. I mounted it on my 14 foot john boat and I tow it with my trolling motor attached. No worries at all. I would recommend to anyone with a flat service for it to mount.

I have not used this yet, I am still modifying my kayak to be able to mount a trolling motor on it, but i will say that the quality of this motor mount is ABSOLUTELY UNMATCHED it is a thing of BEAUTY!!! The welds are AMAZING if you can even see them and NOT because they ground them down OH NO its because they did a perfectly flawless job of laying those beads down, probably done by a machine and if thats the case then it is one HIGH DOLLAR piece of equipment!!!! that is just the welds, the rest of the piece is just as amazing, the outside corners, inside corners the Delrin plates, the finish EVERY PART PERFECT!!! So i have not put it to use but i can GUARANTEE it will be GREAT, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this Newport Trolling Motor Mount!!! ... show more

Needed to add a secondary trolling motor to my bass rig for some specialized fishing. I did NOT want to be drilling UNNECESSARY holes into my beautiful fiberglass boat only to discover a substandard fitting. This Newport Trolling Motor Transom Motor Mount is a BEAST. LOVE IT! Drilled four small holes, silicone, and bolted it right in. IF a bass boat had need for a trailer hitch on the boat itself, this would definitely do the job! Thick, strong mount, will hold just about anything you attach to it. This will not be the part to fail, strong solid mount.
