This is one of those rare items that was even better than I expected! I was looking at similar items, which connect to a phone via USB-C, and physically attach to the phone with a magnet. But the reviews of competing items indicated that those others don't work with Samsung. The Newmowa Phone Vlog Selfie Monitor Screen is specifically designed for Samsung, and instead of connecting with a USB cable, it connects via Wifi. That's a game changer, because I can have my back to the camera, or be looking off to the side, and still see what's in the camera's frame by holding the viewer in my hand. There's really no need to attach it to the camera, although it comes with a bracket for that purpose. An internal battery supplies the power, without draining my phone's battery or requiring a separate power bank. This makes it so much easier to take photos or video using the higher-resolution rear camera.

It worked for a few days. Now It won't let me connect so I could use it wireless. It's sad because I thought it was a great product but now it's worthless. Unfortunately, I can't return it due to the return window. But at your own risk. 🙁 6/26/25 UPDATE * I finally figured it out!!! It was very confusing but I found out how to work it! I use an android phone and I had to use SMART VIEW! Hope that helps anyone who is using a Samsung. ☺️

This little thing is perfect to be able to use my rear camera (better quality) and still see my shot, especially when I have the phone on a hard to access place for the best shot. This is an android galaxy s21 and it connects flawlessly with the quick cast function built into androids. The battery on the device doesn't seem to beefy, but I use battery banks when shooting anyways so this isn't an issue. I just leave it plugged in when not using it actively. I haven't completely tested the battery when casting from my phone so I can't give an accurate estimate on how long it'll run, but certainly more than an hour. PS, the device is mavnatized so you can easily use any magsafe mounts you ha e laying around, and it comes with a phone mount that will clip to your phone and is magnetic in the back allowing you to attshc the device to the mount easily. However, if you're like me and had a spare mag safe (or in this case an old pop socket style magnet mount that works perfectly) you'll be able to mount it anywhere you can place your mount! Super handy! Only thing that would make it better is touch screen controls, but honestly for the price and value here this is perfect. No wifi required - it connects to wifi to set up and then you're off to the races to quick cast anytime you want (the phone mine is connected to is a spare phone and wasn't even connected to the wifi during this photo)

I really wanted this to work. The concept is fantastic — using the rear camera for better quality selfies and vlogs, especially for TikTok and livestreams. But in practice, it just doesn’t hold up. The connection is unstable. It connects for a second and then drops, making it unusable for consistent recording or streaming. I followed all instructions and ensured compatibility with my Samsung phone, but still no luck. I saw the good reviews and gave it a try, but I regret the purchase — my return window has closed, so I’m stuck with a product I can’t use. 📵 Bottom line: Don’t waste your money. The idea is solid, but the actual product does not deliver.

The media could not be loaded. Super easy to set up and it changed my videos. The quality of your videos is better when using the back camera. This tool simplifies the filming process. I highly recommend it.

After a little trial and error this is super easy to use and makes it easier to take good quality front camera pics. Had a bit of trouble with the connection for the Bluetooth remote but overall it does what it claims
