It’s functional and pleasant to look at but I couldn’t get the compass to attach to my car dashboard.

It's backwards for a car. North shows correctly if looking from the top; but backwards if looking from the front (i.e. mounted on the dashboard). Also, there is ability to adjust for magnetic north movement.
