I have had the Classic White with Blue Stripe since 2016 and it never leaked and is still going strong. I just got the Stainless Steel version and very impressed with it as well. No leaks and it seems very well designed and built. It is a backup for future use.

I would give them 10 stars if I could. When I ordered this my account said that it would arrive in 17 days. Instead it came in just TWO! The seller sent it Priority mail at NO extra charge. Also, sometimes metal containers arrive in the mail with dents because of the shipping company being a bit too aggressive with the items box. However this package was clearly marked 'Fragile' in several places on the box, so it arrived dent free. I couldn't be happier with this sale (unless the price was less). There are some "reviewers" claiming that their dispenser leaked. They said that the 5 star ratings were 'suspicious'. I think it's just the opposite, everything went so well with my transaction that I think the one star ratings are from product competitors, trying to scare people away. Any seller shipping their product with priority shipping when they didn't have to, is clearly trying their best to please their customers. Regarding the so-called leaks, I assembled mine (hand tightened) and it did NOT leak! The gaskets supplied were much thicker than needed, so I see no way for this to ever leak. However having saying that, those that are still concerned might want to try this installation method; install the spigot hand tight. Fill the container with HOT TAP water (do NOT use boiling water as it might damage the plastic spigot). Let the hot tap water sit for around 5 or 10 minutes. This is a metal container with hot water inside, so your container will now be warm/hot to the touch, please be careful with the next step. Empty all of the water out of the container and then IMMEDIATELY afterward tighten the spigot nut tighter. If you are lucky enough to have a 1 inch socket, you do not need to use a wrench with it. Just place the socket over the nut and hand tighten the nut that way. If you don't have a 1 inch socket then simply repeat the hot water procedure outlined above several times. It should tighten a little more with each attempt. This stainless steel container is not that thick, so if you are rough when you handle it you could dent it. With average use it should be fine and not dent. This container also comes with a plastic lid gasket, so you don't have to worry about scratching or damaging the containers top when (if) you use it with a water bottle. This is a nice touch and makes life much easier. Don't forget to wash and rinse your container out before the first use. The only thing that I didn't like about this container was the plastic spigot (because of BPA health concerns). I will be replacing the plastic spigot with a stainless steel one and then this container will be perfect! The hole for the spigot is standard 3/4 inch. The container is 10 inches tall (10 1/8 with gasket) and the top is 5 7/8 in diameter. The bottom of the container is 9 inches in diameter. It can hold over two gallons (2.2). It is constructed from #304 food grade stainless steel. All in all I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I have never written an amazon review before in the many years I have been a customer. I felt compelled to do so after seeing all the bad reviews this product has unfairly received. I studied all the good reviews and bad reviews before I bought this and I gave it a try. I've had it setup for a month now and it works PERFECTLY. Not a single drop of water has leaked. The secret to making sure it doesn't leak from the faucet tap is to follow the advice of another reviewer who had success with this method and posted it. I used his technique and it worked just as he said it would. When you install the faucet you will find that you are supplied with two rubber gaskets that go one on each side of the metal housing of the dispenser body. You will notice that these gaskets are flared out with the flared end facing away from the metal on either side. The secret is to make sure that it is tight enough that these gaskets are no longer flared but flush on either side. If they do not appear flush or almost flush, it's not tight enough and it might leak! Hand tightening is not enough, you need to use a pliers or ideally a 1-1/8" socket over the nut and turn that by hand. If the gasket is still not flush or you want to be extra sure, fill the tank with HOT water up to the top of the nut and let it sit for 5 minutes. Carefully drain the hot water and immediately take your socket and tighten it again. You will find you will get another half turn out of it at least. Obviously, be careful not to over tighten or you could bend the metal. So to summarize, if the gaskets do not appear flush its not tight enough! It may leak. It's that simple folks. All the jokers who are saying the good reviews are paid reviews or there is no wrong way to do it are fools. These are not paid reviews, it's common sense and yes there is a wrong way to do it. As far as it leaking out the seams as some have suggested I have no seen that and since those are all old reviews I think it's safe to assume the manufacturer has since corrected any of those kind of defects. I highly recommend this dispenser. For the ultimate combo buy the no spill cap that works for crocks. Works great. UPDATE: Over 2 years and 4 months later and not a single drop has leaked from either the tap or the seams. We use it every day. Fantastic product.
