This 3ds is really cool and if you like "backing up" your games your going to have to buy right now ether Japan or Australian. Japan is a lot cheaper then pal. Out of the box it is in Japanese language only and only plays Japanese games "BUT" if you get a card that starts with gateway (Google is your friend) you can play USA games on it! Now is the time to buy! Edit: I figured I should explain how to play USA/EUR games on a JAP 3ds. Since the system is region-locked YOU MUST HACK IT! This will void your warranty but you will be able to play out-of-region games and backups and homebrew. The flashkit you need to buy is "Gateway-3ds" google it. It cost about $75 US and YOU MUST BE ON FIRMWARE 9.2.0-20 OR LOWER you can check your version in the settings menu of the 3ds. If your over 9.2.0-20 sorry your out of luck BUT you can still buy a sky3ds which will allow you to play backups but no out-of-region games or homebrew so JAP system JAP games. Gateway is the best choice but please read read read about the device and how it works BEFORE you buy. At time of writing the 9.x gateway update has not been released yet but will in a few days. It's my fault that I didn't read that it wouldn't play US games. Also you can't change the language at all. I thought I made a good choice ordering in Oct, for Christmas, but now I can't return it due to the 30 day window. It's just a big paper weight. I can't do anything with it. ...

Been having lots of fun with this model. Got custom firmware and some games to go with it. One thing to note is that the A button seems to have issues with inputs if lightly pressed. It was like this out of box and I'm not sure why. Unfortunate but otherwise the 3ds is in mint condition pretty much.

3ds arrived and in great condition. Everything working perfectly and works with North America charger. Nice packaging. Loved playing Japanese games like Goemon, Rockman(Megaman),Robot Wars and others games that never came to Americas from Nintendo. With japan nintendo eshop closing now time to get in good games that will be lost forever on Japanese Nintendo 3ds.

For like 10 months, I'm still pleased with my console. It's compact and smaller than the XL model, even the screen is sharper. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: Sharp Screen Compact Size Super-Stable 3D Replaceable Cover Plates Matte Finish Neutral: C-Stick can get some time to be used to Some Cover Plates have a Glossy Finish Stylus (Touch Pen) Is a bit small, non-resizable Cons: Region Locked (I tell you, YOU CAN ONLY PLAY JAPANESE GAMES ON HERE!) No AC Adapter (You can still use yours) If you want to get this, you need to also get a japanese game, like Super Smash Brothers - Nintendo 3DS [Japan Import]. I recommend this to a Super Smash Bros. Player. MANY PEOPLE HAVE THE XL, SO WHY DID YOU GO FOR THE XL!? Be small, my friends.

Great system to enjoy. Only problem I have with it though is that when I got the system it had a big spec of dust underneath the screen in the middle. I've had for about 2 weeks now trying to ignore the spec of dust hoping a screen protector would cover is up, but it's really just ruining my experience of enjoying the console to the fullest. Really wish something can be done about that.
