My Surface Pro 4 was coming up on six years and was down to about 1.5 hours of battery life. I bought this as a replacement and I am happy with the purchase. The battery life isn't world-beating, but it is still pretty good. The performance is vastly improved. The new hardware and updated Core I5 provide fast wake-up and facial recognition. The quality, power, and portability are still there - and those are the things that attracted me to Surface Pro originally. You NEED the type cover. It has always struck me as a marvel of engineering. It is a satisfying typing experience in a very small package. The backlit keys are also appreciated. The pen is less important for most people, although annotating your slides when presenting can be useful - and cool. I use mine rarely, but I am not an artist. It would of got 5 stars if I wouldn't of had to reinstall windows 11 because the Bluetooth didnt work the usbs didnt work the oem keyboard case that I bought didnt work... every driver was either corrupted or missing. Didn’t get anything except the tablet (unlike what the listing says): no power cord, no keyboard, nothing. Unsure if it works as it has no power.

    • Shattered Almost Instantly
I like to think I take good care of my things, and I was especially careful with this tablet because I got it as a gift to myself following some especially difficult life events and to make upcoming difficult life events more tolerable. But I turned around for a moment to watch a TikTok video my brother wished to show me and my cat knocked it off the coffee table. It was not even a three foot drop but the screen broke badly. And, guess what? A replacement screen costs almost as much as the entire unit, in part because tariffs have made replacement screens prohibitively expensive. In an especially sick twist of events the case I'd gotten for it arrived the next day. I'm not certain if my unit was faulty due to after market parts or if it's just the Surface Pro 7 in general but definitely be prepared to wrap this thing in cotton wool and cradle it like a dying infant or it will self-destruct at the mildest inconvenience. It also came with Windows 11 rather than 10, which was quite annoying. My brave little soldier does still work, but for my purposes I'll probably have to spend money I do not have getting another one. ... show more

I had a surface before this one. I only replaced it because it was stuck in an endless update loop (other surface owners know how fun that is) so I had to replace it. This one has a different charging port which I am thankful for since the magnetic one was a pain. Runs well, was in good shape, was easy to set up and use, I love the touch screen, considering it was refurbished it looked brand new. Product runs well so far. A few marks on the back, but isn’t an issue being refurbished. THIS DOES NOT COME WITH A KEYBOARD LIKE THE LISTING CLAIMS! Just a warning. A few reviews already had said that, so I purchased one anyways. Make sure you are fully up to date to start. The touch typing and pen would not function correctly until the updates.
