  • Problematic power button placement
The power button is on the edge of the keyboard on the left side. I've accidentally turned off the computer by unintentionally pressing the button. Otherwise, it's been a good machine to me!

  • HP make horrible cheap products with horrible support
The first things I noticed within months was that because of the flimsy body frame. Holding it with one hand or putting the slightest pressure near the mouse pad would make it think it is being pressed. Making you highlight everything or click on random things. The screen always had a foggy appearance. It was never crystal clear and this is not a defect, they literally ship out like this. Due to this the color is always off and never vibrant, just dull and foggy appearing. Touch screen input sucked. Sound sucked so bad I had to have it looked at by their very own techs. They are trying to copy apple in the sense everything is in house. But the quality of their products do not compare at all. The sound always came out scratchy randomly and they said everything worked fine. HP support is horrible by the way, you are better off asking your tech savvy friends for help. No backlight keyboard....2022 and no backlight keyboard now come on... Worst feature of all was having the power button on the left side of the laptop. Can't tell you how many times I placed my hand or bumped it into putting my computer to sleep. After sometime this laptop would turn on but the screen remained black. This happened so many times and guess what, HP said it was fine...It is a pain in the butt to restore the screen function. Performance sucked so bad, running anything would cause the fan to kick into overdrive it was ridiculous. The last straw was that screen turned black again, and I am in college. I had a lot of work to complete. I spent hours trying to fix it and support was no help because I had to pay some premium to be able to get any kind of advice. Nah, I threw that pile of junk tech in the trash and got me a mac book air. HP makes inferior products and companies like to use them because they are the cheapest option for companies. Old smart phones of any kind can blow this laptop out of the water. I initially bought this because it was a "cheap option". Don't do what I did, skip HP all together and find something better! ... show more

  • Great Laptop
Bought this laptop as a gift for my sister. She has reported all-around great performance and is very happy with it.

  • Very impressed - great package deal
Was shopping for a 2-in-1 laptop for my wife to replace her existing tank she hauled around. Ultimately decided to purchase from this seller based on the package deal and amazon prime eligibility. $599.99 for this model + 2 year HP Care packaged with it was by far the best deal for a x360/2-in-1 laptop. Was not interested in the Lenovo series due to all the Malware issues their in trouble for - basically installing root kits on your stock lenovo. Screen color is great - resolution is middle of the road though. At this screen size and price range it's probably an 8-9/10 though. Definitely not a retina display quality. But overall it's got great true blacks and color range, you just need to turn the brightness up all the way. Battery life is actually quite good for casual usage. However, playing any kind of low end game that would utilize CPU graphics can eat the battery really quickly. Very pleased with the performance overall though for what we intended. ... show more

  • Happy Wife Happy Life
She loves the touchscreen, it works perfectly. Software starts instantly and runs smoothly. Streaming video is amazing when she flips the screen around. This unit has the numeric keys on the right that she required for Quicken work.

  • Decent laptop
This computer is just for home use. Good processor, graphics are okay, very responsive touch screen, good web cam, decent battery and brightness. One of the major cons I have is in regards to hardware. The swivel part of the pc, over a short period of time, has become a little loose. When I lift up the lid, if I don’t position it in a certain way the lid can start to fall back a little. ... show more

  • When your computer dies- you must take drastic measures
My computer died- the keyboard was iffy, then it all went ka-put. This is very similar the recently deceased and I was able to have the new family member up and running in a matter of minutes, all files transferred from windows 'cloud system' and I was on my way. I had a few requirements 2 in 1, touch screen and full keypad. Call me a happy adult. I usually get 2-3 years about of laptops, using 12-16 hrs a day. ... show more
