  • Works perfectly
This isn't OEM but neither is the price. Even if it only lasts two or three seasons, for the cost and ease of installation it is still a bargain. It fit my 2005 Saltwater 125 two stroke perfectly and works exactly as it should.

  • Use the old hex shaft
Installed this on a 1996 60hp Mariner. I had some difficulty removing the hex shaft from the old motor as it seemed to have been pressed in. Removed the motor from the old housing and used side cut pliers to leverage the shaft out. The two cap screws nearest the stern are a bit challenging, but I found that a 5mm hex bit attached to a 1/4" drive socket with extensions worked out well. Also, placing the hex shaft in the pump assembly first and then mounting the motor will make gravity your friend. Ran it through its complete range of motion a couple of times while adding hydraulic fluid. This motor may be wound differently than my original as I had to reverse the polarity of the wires. Unit runs great and exceeded my expectations. ... show more

  • Great Motor and value!
Fast shipping, easy replacement and motor works GREAT! Saved over 50% from other vendors and local store prices. Only problem, which was not a big deal was the pins that came with it that turns the motor. The pins were to short or to long. I just used the old pin from broken motor and that worked just fine. ... show more

  • Does its job well if you install correctly.
Works perfectly second time around. I made mistake trying to install 1st one without removing push/pull piston from the boat and did not use lock tight on 4 screws for the tilt motor. It came loose and ruined motor. This time i removed whole unit from boat and setup on work bench. On work bench I was able to fill oil and purge air out using 12v battery to push and pull (forward/reverse blue/green wires)piston while oil sets in and pushes air out. ... show more

  • Perfect Fit
Works perfect for my 1987 Force 125HP outboard. My hydraulic motor would not lift the engine and I determined I needed a new motor and purchased this as a replacement. It came with different sized hex shaped shafts to go to the pump, along with new bolts and an O-ring. It took me a few tries to get it on so it didn't leak any Tilt-trim fluid (which I needed alot of). After installed and fluid was ran through the hydraulic lines, my engine lifted right up, lowered and worked like a charm. ... show more

  • Prefect fit but doesn't last.
Used on a 1991 Force 150hp. Direct fit, works great. As others mentioned it is slightly louder than oem but i don't mind it since i don't have position sensors so listening to the trim motor tells me when I'm maxed out, etc. Unfortunately about a month after install and 3 or 4 trips on the water. The housing began to rust. Picture taken a couple weeks later and the rust is much worse. It's isolated to the motor housing, the tank and caps seem fine. I soaked it in ospho and painted it. We'll see if that holds up. But bottom line, something designed specifically for the marine environment shouldn't rust for years. And yes, i rinse with fresh water after every single trip. ... show more

  • 1992 Mercury 60hp Trim & Tilt
Works great, easy to install, pump had previous been tampered with(hardware unbagged/loose in box and zip ties cut). Shocked everything stayed in the box but it worked flawless so 9.5/10.
