I bought these to store my Sim Thread embroidery spools and the spools were a perfect fit. The only issue I have with them is that you have to pay very close attention to how sections line up or they won’t snap closed. I would still buy them again, and already have!

I bought this thread storage specifically because I previously purchased the New Brothread 64 spool embroidery thread pack. I was thrilled thinking I could store it securely and organized... The embroidery spools DO NOT FIT if you want to use every post for a spool. You can use alternating posts and store 40 spools, not 80. I returned the product to Amazon. New Brothread did provide me with a replacement acrylic box intended for use with thier larger spools. If I didn't already have standard spool storage I suppose I would have kept it. Customer support was not particularly clear when I contact the warehouse, whoever I was corresponding with didn't clarify that a replacement was already shipped. However a replacement was received at no charge. The replacement is a good quality product and accommodates the spools. Photo of item tag is in this review.

I previously had my thread packed into a toolbox and often couldn't find what I needed, leaving me to buy a new thread and ending up having multiples of the same type/color. I've organized this box first by type of thread (quilting, regular, heavy duty, etc.) and then by color. It's beautiful.

I purchased the Brothread 80 color polyester thread collection set of 4 of these storage containers. One would think Brothread spools would for easily fit…. But it is a hasssle to align and close and open this container properly I would recommend purchasing 2 of the two level containers , and not four levels of this thread holder. It would be easier to manage this way. I must say… The customer service was excellent and their response was very professional…
