These are perfect for my embroidery floss stash. The boxes fit 6 full bobbins on average per section. That gives me storage for 90 full skein bobbins per box plus a long storage area for more bobbins or needles, clips, scissors, & such. The box is durable but not brittle.

Price awesome, can't be beat. If this box came without dividers, I'd buy much more. Seems to me it'd be less cost to make without dividers. As I could use for other uses. But I love dividers also and bought many of these boxes. Pls make without to increase the function and make more money!

I’ve been doing counted cross stitch for over 30 years so I have quite the collection of dmc floss to start with but my newest project uses 234 colors and I didn’t want to have to dig through the stash for every color I needed to use. I now have the colors I need for the project in 4 of these storage containers and a smaller container for the colors of the particular page on the pattern I’m working on. It’s a bit chaotic but I’m finding it easier and less overwhelming than having to constantly have all the containers open all the time. Overall great product. Truly clear plastic, and sturdy construction. It has 2 areas it latches at and they are REALLY hard to open and close. Get yourself some sandpaper and sand those plastic lips to be more flat at the edge (instead of a rounded edge) and then it’s truly fabulous!

I have 4 of these to hold my embroidery thread. They work great, the plastic bobbins sit in the little compartments perfect. It separates the bobbins so they aren't all messed up. The lid snaps tight so they don't fall out.

I bought three of these containers for storing embroidery/cross-stitch floss. I'm laid up with a broken foot so I couldn't take pictures of the other two which are full. The container is sturdy. It actually didn't have that kind of chemical pungent oder. That was am unexpected plus. Each one has 16 sections to store skeins. There is a larger section that I use to store extra bobbins and other small tools like tweezers or measuring tape. I can easily store five full skiens on bobbins in each section. It will fit 6-7. However, in my experience it will likely damage the floss/thread. I was able to store about 80 bobbins in each container. These can also be used to store beads, but I wouldn't store seed beads in them. It would likely spill. You could store larger beads and jewelry making materials easily. I'm going to but several more to store various other craft supplies. Once I know how well it stores each type of supply, I'll update my review. The price is more reasonable than the ones at Wal-Mart and Hobby Lobby. The plastic is also more durable than the ones at this price point at the other stores.
