  • Fits Super Sachel Double Deep models
Style: Marker Tray
However there is a catch. I got an ArtBin (6899AC) SSDD model that came with a tray, and while this technically *can* fit that ArtBin product, because it has the tray, it has shorter dividers. What this means, is it can only attach on one side of the bin, not on both sides as designed. Now, this isn't a "major" problem because these are just facilitating standing markers up straight and nothing is "weighing them down", it is a problem because there's no way to resolve this outside of straight up buying a SSDD model without the tray so you get the full size dividers, and use the extras in this particular model, which means the extra dividers for my model are effectively useless because the two don't match, even though the boxes are the literal same exact thing (same dimensions and everything). Also, I looked to see if you can just buy the dividers separately, and unless I failed, I could not find anywhere that did so. So, that's -0.5 stars off for lack of compatibility that would have or should have been fairly easy to implement by ArtBin. However, the other -0.5 stars is going to be from the excessive force for putting the side latches on the product. While these have fairly stiff plastic, and you're not going to be generally detaching the add-on latches often, the force with which you have to put the things on is a bit too much. It feels like you're going to end up breaking the plastic rails it slides into, but it ends up snapping into place. It's enough to make you a little nervous. One other thing I noticed: I got some knock off copic markers, and this is more of a protip, but if you're getting these to sort your not-Copics, or to sort your Tombow Pro markers, they will not fit in the ArtBin standing up. I think double ended Copics might, only barely. Mine are about 2-3mm longer and they also fit, but the cover will bow. One more thing: because of where those latches I mentioned are placed, at least 4 slots on this model are effectively wasted unless you have a thin marker to go in those slots surrounding the latch, because they're 75% smaller. I don't think there's anything that can be done to slim that part down, as it's already fairly slim. I just don't think these were designed with Copic-like markers in mind. ... show more

  • Fits the bin nicely. Not deep enough to keep in place.
Style: Marker Tray
The 2 units fit the Art Bin nicely. But, the units aren't deep enough to keep the markers securely in place. The markers wobble in place. Just a inch more of depth would help. We're pleased the markers are in place by color.

  • What I wish I knew before I bought these trays for Copic Storage
Style: Marker Tray
I have 180 Copic Ciaos, and needed some nice, portable storage for them. I was surprised at how few the options are for Copic storage (especially Ciaos!) given what a popular marker it is. I thought I had found an elegant solution with Artbin, but I was very wrong. I bought 4 of these trays to go with the Artbin Super Satchel Double Deep, which theoretically holds 4 of these things. The things is, once you put in all the trays, the Satchel won't close. It will latch in the front, but the sides of Satchel bow out as soon as you put 2 of these marker trays in side by side (horizontally), so the outsides of the satchel are not covered by the lid. It looks and feels ugly to have such big, open gaps on the side. You would never know looking at these items that they are supposed to have been made to go together. It truly looks like like I bought some random trays and crammed them in box made by a different manufacturer. The opposite of elegant. At first I thought maybe I had a faulty Super Satchel DD, because it seemed like maybe the middle divider was too thick. Desperate to make these trays work, I returned the first Super Satchel DD and ordered a second. This one's divider was slightly thinner, so the box didn't bow as badly, but it still bowed. So I guess they just aren't manufactured thoughtfully enough for this system to really work together. I decided to keep the second Artbin DD and ordered a custom MDF insert from an Etsy shop. The shop makes custom inserts made specifically for Copic Sketch & Ciao and I got one that was made specifically to go into the ArtBin Super Satchel DD. Hopefully that will be elegant storage solution I was looking for. I gave these trays 2 stars instead of one because I do think they would work if you just wanted them for the smaller ArtBin satchel that was made to hold 2 trays. They are fine if you are just stacking them vertically, and there is no plastic divider in the 2 tray version. But if you're looking to fill up an Artbin made for 4 trays, don't do it unless you're cool with spending your money on a janky setup that doesn't completely close. ... show more

  • OK--but read the size of each compartment to make sure it's what you want!
Style: Marker Tray
I did read the pros and cons before purchasing 2 of these for my ArtBin satchel so that I could store my Copic markers in it. You may or may not like that the marker storage tray sits up high, so there is not a piece at the bottom to anchor your markers in place (they may slide a bit). I was fine with that, so it worked for me. The slots are quite large--great for the somewhat oval shape of Copic sketch markers, but even then wobble around inside. Also, there are a few slots that are smaller (to accommodate fitting the marker tray where the satchel's removable divider slots are--while the dividers are removable, the slots that keep them in place are not)--I can't fit my Copic Sketch markers in those, so they are wasted space for me. As my collection grows, I will probably purchase one of those wonderful (but expensive) trays they sell on etsy since there are ones that can hold the entire Copic color collection. However, it's small now and I already had (and love) the ArtBin Super Satchel, so this was a great, affordable option for me. Only 3 stars because most markers are thinner than Copic Sketch markers, and those really would swim in the large marker slots of this tray. Just be sure to carefully read the dimensions of the openings so you won't be disappointed. There are definitely wider markers and other items that would fit wonderfully. ... show more
