Out of the box, these fit better than I was expecting. I did go a full size up, opting with 13 EE rather than my normal 12 EE, and this was the right choice. I wear 12EE in the classic New Balance styles (574? Something like that). But these are smaller in the foot opening as well as narrower than that style/cut of shoe. So 13 EE fits perfectly, I can slide my foot in and out without untying, and the shoe isn't gonna fall off. They are very light and comfortable, especially after loosening the laces. I don't think these would hold up to major abuse or running, but as a casual sneaker for around town, I think they'll do just fine. I also don't think you should be jumping in puddles in these shoes either, else you'll be left with some very wet feet😂😂😂 ... show more

I used these shoes about 3 times a week for 2-3-hour sessions only in a gym. They are convenient as slip-ons and good-looking but not durable — started to show signs of tear at the forefoot after 7-8 months of use. Only lasted about 10 months until getting torn there, so I have to toss them. The soles are in a good shape, not looking overworn. For comparison, ASICS Men's Gel-Excite 10, bought at the same time and used interchangeably with these NBs, are not showing any signs of such excessive wear and tear. ... show more

My husband has been a New Balance fan for years. He’s had several pairs lasting for years. I purchased this NB fresh foam tennis shoes for my husband. He has a history of unstable gait, so needs strong, durable support and traction. I purchased these thinking he’s never had colorful shoes… always white or black. These are different… green, patch N. Very stylish. Good price. Newer technology. Why not give it a try? He didn’t like them. Said too light, no support. The sole is very thin, along the bottom and into the toe. No extra toe strength/ rubber for support. He also did not like the tongue being attached to upper shoe. Can’t pull it tight. He said it decreases the ability to tighten places. He praised the color, price, brand, and delivery. We have brick patios and walkways that get slippery when wet. He and I agree this pair of shoes does not provide the treads and traction for such areas. We will return and purchase the “classic” athletic shoe he is more comfortable with. ... show more
