  • Great for winter insulation
I bought this to stick onto my windows for cheap winter insulation. It works! I didn't notice until after I'd depleted the entire roll that it's apparently perforated so that it tears easily at a certain interval. I didn't try that as I had to measure out specific lengths for every window, but I can say that it never pulled apart in places I didn't want it to. That was good for me, as I wouldn't want to have to cut a 33" piece only to end up with several smaller pieces because it decided to pull apart where it was designed to. So I can't tell you if the perforated design makes it easier to pull apart - I didn't even try it and am pleased that it didn't come apart on its own. And you know what? This makes pretty good window insulation. I'm going to save the pieces when I pull them down after winter, but if I ever need to get more I'll order this brand. ... show more

  • Nice product; bubbles could be higher
I was expecting taller bubbles, though other people may be happy with the way it is. The bigger bubble version probably have taller bubbles. The plastic & perforations are good. If one needs better protection one could wrap multiple times.

  • Used on my windows
Saw a blog where someone recommended using this on their windows in the winter to help keep heat in. I've done the "shrink wrap" on my windows nearly all my life, but this was something new. I was almost hoping the bubble-wrap would come wrapped in bubble-wrap (oh the irony!) but alas, it just had the heavy paper in there with it. The bubbles were all filled (popped a couple dozen just to check ;)) and cut it into pieces and taped onto my windows. Worked a lot better than I would have thought, and noticed a good amount of heat behind my window curtains when I checked. I know most people will be ordering this for shipping purposes, but if you're in a cooler climate I recommend using a few strips of this and putting it on your windows in addition to whichever shrink-wrap you choose. ... show more

  • A little flimsier than I had expected, but worked as needed anyway
I bought this to insulate window air conditioners for the winter. The bubble wrap ripped more easily than other brands I had used before, but the windows' gaps are tightly sealed, and it's warm and cozy inside. Considering the reasonable price, I'd probably buy it again for this purpose.

  • American made, yes!
It is "just" bubble wrap, but it's made in the USA. It is too wide for small objects, but I used it to cover my apartment window (Phoenix, AZ). It works for me, but fyi, it takes a lot of wrapper to cover a window. I bought two units and I covered three 60X66 inch windows, with plenty of overlap for air leaks; I did have some leftovers. I love the colorlessness. Feedback for manufacturer: many apartments allow white coverings only; although it contains recycled plastic (15%, thank you) a recyclable product might appeal to more customers; a slightly denser (thicker walled) bubble could be manufactured and merchandised as an alternative to changing out single pane windows, which is not an option in this economy, an aid to keeping, rather than trashing, the manufactured windows already in existence. Maybe you already have an industrial version that I don't know about. ... show more

  • Nuno felting use
Ok,so its bubble wrap. For packaging and traditional use, it does what it is supposed to do, quite effectively. For those fiber artists out there seaching for bubble wrap to use for wet felting, it breaks down at the seams rather quickly. I have had to reinforce the tear away seams with tape because they leak. I do love that it is extra wide, which saves on taping sections together. I do use the sander method, with a piece of 3mil plastic over the top and have had no issues with the wrap tearing. ... show more

  • It's ok, rather thin sheet, so goes fast
I bought this because I needed to wrap up a stereo receiver for shipping, so I intentionally bought something wider. This is just okay. It's wide enough, but quite thin, so that I ended up using all of it. I think that, in retrospect, buying something thicker would have been better. The stereo repair guy used thicker stuff to send the receiver back, and didn't use nearly as much as I did to make it work. When I say thicker, I mean bigger air bubbles in the plastic, which make the entire sheet thicker, and thus you need less to protect your goods. Just try to find out how thick the sheets are you're buying. I know next time I will. ... show more

  • Great price, fun to pop
What can I say, it's bubble wrap? It's fun and it protects stuff. This is a great price and cheaper than the office supply stores, so I'm happy. I use this to wrap artwork at my gallery and it works great. It was kind of funny ordering bubble wrap -- I almost expected it to come wrapped in bubble wrap ;) ... show more
