Description

The Cat mini excavator is not really mini, but a real giant in its category. Thanks to its compact dimensions, it feels most at home in confined spaces. The excavator arm can also be swiveled towards the side to make it indispensable for landscaping and gardening as well as general building work where the vehicle efficiently moves small quantities of earth. Thanks to its tracked chassis, it can also cope with challenging terrain. The chassis blade gives the vehicle more stability on loose ground, making it more suitable for simple levelling activities. In addition to its realistic playing functions, the model comes with ample accessories. The excavator bucket is detachable. The bonnet at the rear opens, the cab is glazed and its door opens. The excavator body rotates by 360 Degree and the bucket arm by an additional 180 Degree - just like the real thing.

Our grandson, who just turned 4, is a real truck enthusiast. He knows all the names and what they do, so I knew this would be a toy he would enjoy. The tough part was picking out the right one. This truck is a little pricey, but is well made and looks like it will stand the test of time. I read other reviews carefully before purchasing, and realized that many toy trucks are not that well made. People complained of them breaking in very short periods of time, but the Bruder brand really seems to take quality seriously. I plan on buying him a couple of more for Christmas, and I will definitely buy this brand again. It is worth a little extra money to get a toy that will last. It is also very realistic...he told me that this one "inspired" him!! It is also a good size for him to handle. He has large Tonka steel trucks for outside play, but this is perfect for indoors. A lot of the toys you buy now are plastic and snap easily. So far, we have loved the excavator and it’s holding up well with my rough toddler boys. Do keep in mind the side mirror pops off and on. If you have little ones who put things in their mouth, I’d pop it off and keep it off

Hasn't held up as well as the other Bruder construction toys we have. The bottom (tracks) separated from the top part, and we can't get it back together. Could glue, but then wouldn't rotate. Several parts of the hydraulics have fallen out of the boom. If you want to play with it more gently, or use it as decoration, this is a great product. But it didn't hold up to standard play at our house. ... show more

Got these for my toddler who is 3years old and crazy about construction vehicles---excavator in particular. He had a basic one that he was able to take apart and put it back together (another great toy) but now he wanted something that had hydraulics and suspensions like the real one (His Dad taught him all about that so....). THis is perfect. He loves it and his Dad loves it too. They spend a lot of time playing with it :) Its been 2 months and its held up in toddler hands so I would say it is durable....let see how long it lasts !!! ... show more

This is the best toy excavator ever! BUY THIS TOY!!!! My son destroys every toy he receives. We have had this toy for little over a month and he has not managed to do any damage. He plays with it constantly and it is still in tact. This toy comes with a little driver and my son has ripped off the legs at least once a day since he received it and they just snap right back in. So far I have to say it's a great toy. It's holding up to my 4 year old who is known for being a demolisher of all his toy trucks and construction equipment. My main concern was the scoop of the excavator and the arm, he has managed to take the scoop off once so far since christmas but to my surprise it wasn't broke, just snapped eight back into place. It seems like it's well designed to withstand a beating so we shall see as time passes. 😋 ... show more
