I bought these to replace my old Nike shoes. And I mean old. I play pickleball 5 days a week and these are the best. Way better than my Nikes, even when they were new. These are super comfortable, fit my wide foot perfectly, and the arch support is just right. I even bought a spare pair when Amazon had their Black Friday sale, knowing that the texture on the courts will eventually wear out the soles. Highly recommend. ... show more

The color of the suede is more of a light gray than the sandstone/buff color portrayed in the photos. That's OK but there seemed to be something odd about the appearance of the shoes as I viewed them sitting on the floor. It's the white laces. I put some light gray laces in and the oddity disappeared. I'm sure the support and comfort will be similar to my last pair of this model. I can't believe that I just wore these shoes for the first time (got them last week) and they're falling apart. I walked less than 100 yards and the soles are coming off. The glue failed. I think these were old stock that Amazon sent me or a manufacturing defect. They looked new. Never had this problem before with New Balance shoes, even the ones I ordered from Amazon. I'm shocked. Returning for a replacement. Hope the replacements are better. 11/1 update: Give credit to Amazon. Shortly after I asked for a return, they shipped out a new pair. I got the replacement pair Sunday and am wearing them today. So far, so good. I did the same walk I did last week, and the shoe is still intact. I've been buying these 608s for a while and been very satisfied. The previous pair were the first that I had any problems with. Thanks for the replacement, Amazon. I hope they hold up. ... show more

Been wearing these since the original 608 and still do now on version 5. The different versions seem to have been different soles, but the fit and comfort are unchanged. I wear the 4E width and the new balance for is great.

Usually I buy the 900 series walking shoe from New Balance. I saw these were less than half the cost and had a ton of reviews. I decided to give them a shot and could not be more pleased. They are lightweight and comfortable. Hopefully they will also prove to be durable!

    • Most comfortable New Ballance shoes I've ever owned.
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Chocolate Brown/White
My old, and I mean like 10 years old or more, New Ballance shoes, opened up at the left big toe. These fit and felt way better than expected, right out of the box. These are the first "wide" size I have purchased, but I'll be buying them from now on.
