Need a fun, easy game to play for 2-6 players??? Well look no further. Love letter is my husband and I’s favorite game and that says a lot because we own 100+ different games. The game is simple but so enticing to play, and it’s fun for all ages. It takes up little to no space, and is easily transportable to take with you on trips, to the local cafe, or if you’re bored on a plane ride. The game is quick and doesn’t take much effort but does involve some quick thinking and brain power (not too much, though, don’t worry. We love this card game! Originally played it at a friend’s place, and afterwards we had to get one for ourselves. It’s most fun with 4 or more people. I love that it’s portable, so you can easily bring it with you, compared to larger board games, and it doesn’t take up much space so you could play it without needing a big table or surface area. The rules are deceptively simple. You have one card in your hand, and on your turn, you draw one card and choose to play one card. The person with the largest card at the end of the game wins. However, you’re also trying to guess what other people have, and get them “out” of the game. Plus, there’s “actions” with other cards that add new rules. It’s pretty fast paced, so you can play a few rounds easily. Well worth the money! ... show more

We took this game with us on vacation and played it multiple times. It was easy to learn right out of the box, or bag in this case. The bag made it super easy to carry around with me in my small purse, so we could play whenever we wanted. The other plus side was how quick the game went. The game is fun and fast to play. It plays mostly like any other card game in that you draw and play cards. In this game you hold a hand of exactly one card, and you draw one card and play one card (either the one you drew or the one previously in your hand) on every turn. In each round, players may be eliminated during the course of play but they will return in the next round, so there isn't much downtime even if eliminated at the beginning of a round. The theme is almost meaningless so there is no immersive experience. The package is pretty nice. The cards are typical size and quality. Artwork is meh, I don't even notice it when playing. The tokens and velvet bag are nice. The deck is only 27 cards so the price tag seems steep. I'd definitely grab this for five or eight bucks. The recommended price is absurd for a small deck of cards. But the gameplay might be interesting enough to justify buying anyway. Think of it like this: you could spend a reasonable amount for a game with many high quality components but if the gameplay is boring and tedious, the value is poor. ... show more
