so far so good the starts fast no issues so far its been a month. ill update if anything occurs Update: December 24 one month later is still great turns on instantly on a cold start. Will update again after a while. Just some advice make sure to not tighten the bolts too hard it use a torque wrench

I installed this piece of crap and ever thing appeared to be working ok. I used the car directly after installing it to give my oldest son a ride home. I could hear some noise but I thought we'll maybe a got a little grease on the belt....it happens. Then all of a sudden I hear a bang and my battery light came on. So I pulled over and found the pulley had completely separated from the alternator. Do not buy this garbage.....clearly quality control is none existent. I had to get the car towed. ... show more

Shipping was fast. A little different plug location then stock Honda Denso. But location for plug is still in a good spot. No to hard to install. Did it on the ground right be for dark and fiished after dark. Started car right up and work well. Bottom adjustment mount swivels up and down to line bolt up. Important to remember that when installing. 2002 Civic ex 1.7l . Fits like OEM ... show more

    • Spend a little more, get a quality part
I struggled to get this thing in, but not because of actual unit itself. After installed, my belt started to squeak really badly, and no amount of conditioner, or tension adjusting would fix it. I eventually had to take it to firestone to get the squeal to go away, and it still persists a little bit to this day. Immediately after install, while driving you can hear a sort of whistling sound coming from the engine as the car / belt accelerates. The alternator works and charges battery, but I am not convinced it’s good quality. It’s been months and still works, but I believe the quality of this was the cause of the squeal, and the whistling sound, which I am still dealing with. I would spend another $50 and go to the local store and get a reputable brand with warranty and good reviews. Many people who have bought these are unsatisfied. ... show more

    • For the Honda D17 1.7 single cam VTEC engine. This is NOT an amateur job. Novice and pro's only.
This alternator fits perfectly, lights are brighter and less cranks to start engine. Make sure you educate yourself and watch videos on how to do this properly and you will be pleased with this product. THIS IS NOT AN AMATEUR JOB! Multiple adjustments will be needed. But this will save you hundreds maybe even thousands of dollars from paying a shop. Any questions give me a shout. 👍 ... show more
