Installed into a 03 Ford Expedition 5.4. Installed by myself and installation only took roughly 30 minutes. So far no problems and I checked with my multimeter and was getting the correct volt output form the altenator. So for its a win for the price.

Time will tell on reliability/longevity but install was a painless 45 minutes. Just follow a YouTube guide. Sitting in Wally World auto dept as they check the 14 month old battery to see if it’s salvageable. Its getting 14.25’ish volts with every accessory turned on so I think that’s a good voltage , idk. ... show more

Alternator crapped out on my truck. Needed a replacement quickly without breaking the bank. This alternator arrived three days after ordering, arrived double boxed (since it is heavy and has a breakable post in the back). It was a direct fit for the engine (5.4L V8) with the pulley installed (I've had other low cost alternators have you re-use the pulley). Bought for less than 1/3 of the price at the auto parts store. I was worried about compatibility, but the alternator worked perfect. Started immediately and have been driving with zero problems for over a month. Replaced it ourselves and saved hundreds of dollars. I will buy from this company again

    • Alternator works well, but bearings make noise after a couple of months.
My step-daughter asked me to replace the alternator on her 2003 Ford Expedition. This alternator seemed to be a good value and worked perfectly after I installed it. Unfortunately, quality control leaves a bit to be desired, as I think the rebuilder used the least expensive bearings that could be had. After a couple of months, the front bearing began to whine. The alternator still functions, but I suspect it's only a matter of time before that bearing fails completely. Time will tell. ... show more
