    • Plenty of amps to power all my toys.
I added a ridiculously large winch to my 2000 S10 Blazer. The winch draws obscene amps when under even the most moderate of loads which the factory alternator and battery were never intended to support. This alternator coupled with a 1100 CCA battery power not only my winch when needed but all the other electrical add ons I’ve crammed in it. If upgrading from a stock alternator as I did, be sure to also upgrade the charging cables to your battery and alternator as well as the grounds. I did what is commonly referred to as a “Big 3” upgrade with custom made super thick 00 welding cable. None of what I did was too extremely difficult if you’ve got some basic mechanical skills, creativity and persistence. I’ve only had it installed for about 2 months now so I can’t really speak to how long it will last. What I can say is I’ve put it through some very strenuous workouts pulling everything from large logs to a F350 Super duty stuck to its axles in thick wet mud and it’s done it’s job superbly. I have to think that if it were going to fail or be short lived, I’ve done all I could to cause it to. I’m very please with the performance and value from this alternator. There are others on the market probably built a little more robustly but they also cost about a third to one half more. I would recommend it! ... show more

I have a 98 GMC 2500 5.7. I carry a truck camper fully loaded with modern tech and comfort. While traveling I need to keep the frig cold. I have 4 225 ah batteries to carry the load. However I wanted to be able to keep my batteries charged while traveling so I added an isolator. My little alternator couldn't keep up with the demand. I purchased this alternator and had it installed in 10 minutes or less. It's a wee bit bigger I believe so it was a little tight but slide right in. I started the truck and turned on the frig and to my amazement my batteries went to 100% instantly and stayed there with the truck just idling. Needless to say I am very happy with my purchase. The Customer service is also outstanding as we had a glitch with shipping and the owner took care to call me personally and offered to send me another today. These guys are on their A game. More vendors could learn from them. ... show more

Thank you seller I just got my alternator today and I put it in, it does exactly what I expected it would do, does way better than my old alternator, even helps with my high end stereo, that I was having issues before on my old alternator, new 1 hold up all my electrical work and my stereo at high volumes but my lights still flickers, but I'm okay with that it can handle, at least it holds up my stereo subwoofer system at high volumes and holds voltages great on my battery gauge, that's why I'm only getting it four stars, if only if it didn't flicker my lights still, but I'll rather have that then my battery gauge meter jumping all over the place, and I plan on doing the big 3 on this alternator hopefully to hold better voltages n performance, I will do that later on, just I can't right now cuz of my funds, but that being said this alternator does the job, really well, thank you very much, I just hope this last a long time, this alternator, thank u👍👍 ... show more

EDIT 6/1/2021 Originally bought 8/7/2020 and already gave out. The bearing messed up and it doesn't charge at idle either. My truck that I installed this on isn't even a daily driver. I only drive it on the weekends. Very disappointed, didn't even last 1 year Original Works great. I installed it on a 01 Silverado with electric fans and a sound system. I did add a 1/0 charging wire from the alternator to the battery. Also pay attention to the pulley diameter. If your own alternator pulley is smaller you need to swap it. It's stated in the instructions to do so ... show more

Alternator is definitely brand new. Apprehension set in though as the higher output alternator was a little larger than the high amp OEM GM alternator (98 Silverado). The new alternator bolted right in. I had to bump the idle of the truck up just a bit, probably less than 100 more rpm. At 600 RPM the new alternator was pushing 14volts out (per the cluster gauge). This kept the retrofitted 2 electric fans running at the required speed, radio amp, headlights etc perfectly bright. The older alternator could't push the volts out at idle. Hoping over time this new alternator holds up, but the workmanship and design appears to be spot on. Recommended and would purchase from them again. The price was right too. ... show more

Ok so I installed E-fans in my truck and have been chasing down the issue of low battery warning for months when I saw a video on YouTube suggesting to upgrade the alternator to a bigger amperage, I got this literally 20 minutes ago took about 10 minutes to install fit perfectly and based on my voltmeter in my 04 Silverado I'm actually getting 15 volts at idle. I turned everything that sucks power I have an in-dash tv, the E-fans on full blast and the ac on full blast and I'm still getting above 14 volts. I can tell this is well put together and levels above anything you'd get at autozone. Very satisfied customer here ... show more

Item was a perfect fit! Sad part it was broke when received so had to modify it for use. Overall great replacement and piece was okay. not as functional as we needed. Overall great color match, semi functional, fit perfect.
