Gifted this to my personal trainers that have a small toy breed dog. Sooo cute seeing him carry the weight around properly. Light weight, good quality. I think the dumbell has plastic scrunch in it and gatorade has more fluff in it. Made for less destructive dogs, but I wouldnt hesitate to get it for the temp cuteness of the toy with my 40lb shiba. I think a 50 or 60lbs dog would be the max size for the dumbbell. Any bigger and the dog could still play with it, but the likelihood they would grab it properly in the center would be less likely. ... show more

I have two drastically different dogs: one is old rescue who likes to be gentle with her toys, but is also super territorial over certain toys and the older is a puppy who is rough one his toys. The older dog takes very good care of her toys. So I buy two of most toys, but this was a gift and was presented to both of them at the same time. I was worried they wouldn't play with it or worse they would fight over it. Apparently this toy and this toy only is for running a lap around the yard then exchanging for the other to run.
