Super easy to install, unbelievably good value. The plastic disks are to be used *with* the aluminum u-shaped stakes to increase their surface area on the netting. This is really unobtrusive netting that’s hard to see - so I actually used some green garden twine along the top and middle to show my dogs, people and any animals where I had installed this (using the zip ties and green garden stakes). ... show more

Excellent hardware/tool bundle included. The netting itself is not 7 ft high as listed and it is very fine. I plan to use this net to keep poultry out of the garden. I will need to employ other methods to deter critters.

    • Having this kit made the whole process easier.
A few years ago, I lost one of my best friends, a sweet ferret named Bear.. To celebrate his life, and have somewhere I could go to visit with him, I purchased a tree to plant over where we buried him in our yard. (Fun fact: after purchasing the tree it was discovered that the tree was actually a "Bearss Lime Tree".. still melts my heart). A couple years later, Bear's brother also passed away, and we laid him to rest in the same place. My goal in explaining this to you is so you understand what this tree means to me. I try my best to take care of that tree just as I took care of those babies.. and I was devastated when I found caterpillars eating a lot of the leaves. These little guys are supposed to become beautiful butterflies, and I felt terrible/had to work pretty hard to try to get those guys off of my tree. This netting is perfect at preventing butterflies from being able to lay their eggs on my still young tree (too young to take another season of caterpillars). It was pretty easy to put up, and I had enough to put around the small tree. ... show more

    • Just the right size
I did a little test area with this netting where I planted some grass seed (normally I use straw), while it is easy to roll out to the right length, it is a pain to spread it open. The netting gets stuck on everything, eventually I enlisted the help of a neighbor to help me spread it out as the small 30 foot area I was doing was a real pain. We discovered that after rolling it out, it is easiest to stake one side down and then go to the ends and lift it straight up as high as possible before walking it over and staking down the other side. The scissors are really nice, and they include a bottle opener. I'd definitely get this again as it is perfect for what I am going to be doing with it. ... show more

This set of gardening fencing/netting and more is great for first-time gardeners. It comes with an assortment of items, including gloves, scissors, spacers, hammer, and more. I like how the set also comes with proper nails for installation. We used this set to set up a small garden. We installed the netting as a team as it is hard to untangle and spreads more easily when two people set it up. Netting is fine and invisible once set up. Great for holding up to birds, but haven’t seen squirrels or deer try their luck at the netting yet. ... show more
