ESP32 2.8-INCH ST7789 TOUCH SCREEN DEVELOPMENT BOARD The ESP32-2432S0248R-PLUS is a programmable touch screen development board built around the ESP32-WROOM-32E wireless module. It combines a 2.8-inch TFT color display, resistive touch control, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a TF or MicroSD card slot, RGB indicator, USB Type-C interface, and multiple expansion resources in one compact hardware platform. This board is primarily designed for embedded development, IoT dashboards, smart home control panels, sensor monitoring displays, wireless information terminals, graphical menus, electronics education, and custom DIY projects. PREINSTALLED NERDMINER V2 FIRMWARE NerdMiner V2 firmware is preinstalled on the development board as a demonstration application. Customers can power on the board, connect it to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, and explore the screen, wireless connection, and Bitcoin information display functions without first compiling a program. The preinstalled NerdMiner V2 firmware can be erased or replaced with compatible custom firmware at any time. Uploading another program will overwrite the preinstalled NerdMiner V2 firmware. This product is primarily sold as a programmable ESP32 development board. NerdMiner V2 is provided as an additional educational and demonstration application. It is not intended to replace professional ASIC mining equipment or provide predictable mining income. 2.8-INCH ST7789 TFT DISPLAY The board features a 2.8-inch TFT color screen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. The display uses the ST7789 controller and is suitable for graphical interfaces, sensor information, Wi-Fi status, clocks, monitoring dashboards, menus, control panels, and other embedded applications. RECOMMENDED DISPLAY INITIALIZATION Use the following settings when developing software for the display: - Display controller: ST7789 - Display resolution: 240 x 320 pixels - Color order: BGR - Display inversion: Disabled - LCD reset: Connected to ESP32 EN - Recommended software reset definition: TFT_RST = -1 This display must be initialized using BGR color order with display inversion disabled. Using RGB color order or enabling display inversion may cause incorrect colors, such as green appearing blue, abnormal color tones, or an inverted display effect. XPT2046 RESISTIVE TOUCH SCREEN The integrated touch screen uses an XPT2046 resistive touch controller. Resistive touch operation is suitable for use with a finger, touch stylus, or another non-sharp object. Touch calibration may be required after changing screen rotation, graphics libraries, display orientation, or firmware. Touch functions depend on the installed program and may not be enabled by every firmware version. ESP32-WROOM-32E DEVELOPMENT PLATFORM The board is powered by the ESP32-WROOM-32E module and provides a dual-core 32-bit processor with an operating frequency of up to 240 MHz. Wireless functions include: - 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n - Bluetooth v4.2 BR/EDR - Bluetooth Low Energy - On-board PCB antenna These features make the board suitable for wireless control panels, IoT devices, smart home systems, Bluetooth interfaces, remote sensor displays, network-connected terminals, and electronics development. So at first I didn’t understand how to use this thing since there weren’t any included instructions, however the advertisement does give guidance which made it all make sense. The casing is 3D printed and keeps the small screen enclosed, which I was surprised the screen even had color! You do have to sign in to your account although when I first turned it on, it looked like someone was already signed in, which again added to my confusion. That being said it does have some decent functionality in terms of mining status and your connectivity. To me this is more like a novelty item as the mining is very slow, and that makes a lot of sense since all you are doing is powering this with a USB-C cord. This is an assemble bitcoin lottery miner. I deducted 1 star as the item was making a rattling noise. Upon opening the case, I found 1 screw roaming around and a second screw that was partly backed out. I don't think this was a return item, as it was fully sealed. It is good I heard the rattling, as if I had plugged it in, we might have seen the magic smoke. The case and handle are 3D printed, but it's a quality print. The screen is nice and bright.
