    • These have held up well for float tube fishing

I purchased these in July 2016. I purchased them for float tube fishing so I had something to wear under the fins. Or in the cooler months, something to wear over my waders and under my fins. I don't just wear them for float tube fishing. I wear them while hiking in and out of many remote fishing spots. I fish weekly and I have hiked into some extreme spots in these. Very few of my fishing locations are simply pull up and you're on the water. I have to usually do some hiking. That requires a float tube on my back and a sack of supplies and rods. They are starting to get holes and rips in them at this point. For the price I did not know what to expect. But given the abuse I have put these through they have held up very well. I am still using them but I will probably purchase a new pair once temps really start to drop. They are comfortable for float tubing and easy to slip on and off. Or if you are bank fishing or fishing in some marshy type of areas on foot and just want a boot that you can get wet, these are great for that as well. I will be purchasing another pair of these. If these can get me through an entire fishing season at this price, that is a good investment as far as I am concerned. ... show more

    • Fantastic for walking on rocky beaches

These boots are everything I was looking for and more. I go sea glass hunting on beaches all over the world, which means walking on all kinds of beaches. In addition to getting wet, some of the water I walk through is quite cold. These boots keep the water completely out unless I go deep enough for the water to over over the top. Once in, the water keeps my feet warm. They are comfortable enough to walk miles on dry beaches, as well as protect my ankles from being pelted by rocks in the waves. They have amazing grip and saved me while scaling down a cliff to get to a beach. They didn't slip once on the dry rock face. They are also very easy to get on and off.     • Works for stand-up jet skiing... but still looking for something better

I bought these to use when riding stand-up jet skis. The work ok for that purpose, but I'm still searching for something better. I think they run a bit large, but it depends on what purpose you have in mind for them. If you want them to fit snugly, I'd consider ordering 1/2 to 1 full size smaller than your shoe size. If you don't mind them fitting a bit loosely, you'll be fine with ordering your shoe size. It also depends how you wear your shoes -- a bit snug or a bit loose! I would not want to do much walking in these, but the grip is fine in wet conditions (on hydroturf) and they are ok walking a short distance to and from the truck on land. Some of the description for this item indicates it is waterproof and water tight and "keeps your feet dry". That might be true if you walk carefully in 1" deep water, but these are not watertight and they quickly fill with water like little buckets on your feet. Which is fine, because they operate like a wet suit, keeping your feet wet but warm by limiting water transfer in and out. So far in almost two seasons of Superjet riding I haven't lost a bootie, so they definitely stay on your feet. ... show more

I bought these to use for wade fishing. I wanted something that came up a bit higher than standard water shoes. These are awesome! I am so happy I bought them. They were super easy to get on - good zipper, with a nice, extended opening, so you can get your foot in and out with ease! Then they zip up super quick and they have a Velcro tab that will prevent the zipper from coming unzipped until you are ready to remove them. They fit great! The recommended sizing was perfect. I am female, and they recommended one size down from your normal size, which was just right for me. Note - they are not waterproof, as far as hugging your ankle or anything if worn alone (no wetsuit), as I am doing. But, for my purpose, I do not care. I wanted to keep sand and such out of my shoes, and these do that well. With regular water shoes, I always had sand in my shoes. With these, I do not, and my feet/ankles are protected. They are comfortable and easy to walk in, both in and out of the water. I am very pleased with these, and they are now my standard footwear for wade fishing. ... show more

I got these because in the Summer I am interested in obtaining my scuba diving license, and I thought why not just buy these a little ahead of schedule. When these came in the mail I was not sure what to think of them since I have never bought wetsuit shoes before. So I decided to take them on a test run when I went camping on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Our campsite was located on this lagoon and myself and a couple of friends went out in the water at night to catch some shrimp. ...... I cannot believe how much I loved these shoes. They kept my feet warm, they protected my feet from stepping on shells, they gave me a great sense of security while walking through the water. Mind you, it was at night so we couldn't see anything. Meanwhile, my friends are walking at half the pace I am, jumping and screaming trying to avoid stepping on shells or creatures of the dark. These are such a great pair of shoes, honestly if you don't even scuba dive, you should have these just as a good pair of water shoes. The price is very well set, I would honestly pay probably $60 for these and Amazon has them around $35. ... show more
