Relearning freediving and first time needing cold water hoods. I referenced how to size and it was recommended to get a size or two larger than table measurements listed on product page. (if sized for a L, get an XL) My ears fit comfortably in the hood, and the fit was comfortably snug, without feeling like it was trying to shrink my head. My head was kept comfortably warm here in the California Bay Area. I have gone out without the hood initially, but definitely prefer the hood. Based on the sizing chart, I fall exactly into size M. However, when I tried it on, the mask felt too tight and squeezed my face, which affected my ability to equalize my ears. Size L provides a much better fit and is more comfortable for diving.

I bought this to keep crud out of my hair and ears when cleaning the bottom of my boat. It worked perfectly. It is snug enough to keep stuff out but loose enough to easily get on and off. The mask and scuba breather fit nicely over it.
