I was not sure at first if I had to press on the tie wrap head or what to hold it in place but they work just like regular tie wraps. You will need good metal or electrician scissors to to cut to length. I needed something other than plastic because the sun was always eating them up and my sign would fall off.

I really did not have a use or purpose in mind when I bought these SS ties. Just some cool stuff which would no doubt come in handy one day. They have worked for fence repair, add class to an automotive application, and have greater strength and less likelihood of damage from heat or chemical sources. Glad I bought ‘em. Buck
