I like this. I have no health safety issues with this. It doesn't smell as bad as my first one. Melts lead much faster and will still melt lead for at least 5 minutes after unplugging. It was also easier to pour the molten lead into the mold.

Easy to use, the melting pot is well made and has a pouring spout for easy pouring. If desired, the guard on the heating element can be removed to allow use of a larger pot. Compact and functional, just as advertised.

I got the pro version and this is an efficient melting pot and just the right size for easy handling. It gets really hot; you can see the red hot element in one of the pictures. One thing I really like about it is the 2 power switches. If you turn on switch 1 the element only heats when the pot is sitting on it. If you turn on both switches, 1 and 2, the element stays hot all the time. The pot is thick cast iron and has a pouring spout on the side.This is a compact little unit that easily gets hot enough to melt lead for casting. I have the pot and the lead. Now all I need is a mold.
