The first thing I noticed is the the packaging clearly show the temperature reading on the digital display at 188 degrees, yet the maximum temperature of the device is only 140. It didn't feel all that warm until I actually took it outside into the cold. Once I was out there with my cold hands, 140 degrees felt great! It does feel solid and really well built and I do like that it has the LED temperature display. It also does come up to max temperature pretty quickly. We’ve been having cold front after cold fronts this winter and that doesn’t help my golf game. So I bought this warmer to keep my non-gloved hand from gettin numb. It’s a very designed shape, friendly to hold. There are three levels of heat. Even though they say never to use it without the cover bag, I found the bag as an inconvenience. You cannot work the switch or see the LED screen in the bag and in my opinion, it doesn’t get hot enough to burn. The downside is it weights about a pound. Bought 2 and one broke, and they both require a specific charger to work. It is powered by 2 4000 mAh cells so the capacity listed as 10000 mAh is a lie.

    • Don't count on it to hold a charge
The device itself can be a good addition to your at-work gear, particularly if you work nights, or in open, cold environments. I found that it's performance as a battery bank was rather lackluster. Though I don't have a way to gauge exactly how much power it output to the flashlight I tried to recharge from it, I know that it wasn't nearly enough, compared to the amount of time it was charging. As a hand warmer the device works reasonably well, with the caveat that you cannot simply charge it at the beginning of Winter, drop it in your bag, and expect to pull it out when the night gets truly cold and have a full charge ready to go. Instead you should probably charge it up when you see that inclement weather is coming. That charge will likely hold for a week or two, but it will rapidly drop as further time passes.
