This is one of those times where you think "it's an oil drain pan, what is there to review". "What advantage does it have over a $3 pan from walmart?" It's a very good product and one I'll happily recommend, for many reasons. First, it's thick, it's quality. It's not going to distort when hot or when you pick it up, or knock into something. It's clearly going to last a lifetime. Secondly, the thought that has been put into the design is obvious. There's an internal lip to prevent spilling -it's worth the extra over the $3 pan for this alone. Thirdly, the drain - once I was done, I poured the used oil into a couple of empty milk bottles for disposal, didn't spill a drop. This is clearly a product that has been engineered to perform the job perfectly - it's a dirty job, this takes a lot of the mess out of it. It really is worth the extra. I'm sure there are other designs that work as well; I was undecided about one of the other designs that incorporated a bottle for disposal; this is more compact and allows for easier accessible under a car, and cleaner - you pour the oil into another container, and take and dispose of that instead of brining an oil covered bottle to the disposal sencter. Both my vehicles have a capacity of 4.5 qts; this is perfectly sized. I much preferred using this to the cheap one I previously had (now repurposed as a tub for cleaning parts).

I love this drain pan! I have a couple other brands that are cheaper and finally decided to just spend a little extra money to get this one and let me tell you, best decision ever! This one works so well! I should have just bought this one to begin with... I told myself it wouldn't be worth the money and I could just buy a cheaper one at a fraction of the price, so that's what I did... I ended up constantly having trouble pouring the oil into a storage container, spilling everywhere bc the cheap one is so flimsy (thin plastic and no spout to help with pouring... Just a little lip type spout). I would spill oil just moving the pan around too.. I finally decided enough was enough and got this one and OMG what a difference!!! I just changed my father-in-law's oil last night and didn't spill one drop! The plastic on this pan is thick and solid. It doesn't lose its shape when full and you pick it up or drag it, making it easier to remove from under the car. The spout and handles makes it so incredibly easy to pour it into a storage container when finished. I am beyond satisfied with this purchase! Don't make my mistake... Just get this one instead of the cheaper kind. You'll thank yourself later! It holds around 2 gallons or 8 quarts (~7.6 liters) and fits easily under the car.

If you're just a weekend warrior that changes your oil once or twice a year, you can't get much better than this. Plenty of capacity for a basic change. The edge forms a rounded over channel that minimizes spillage if you're careless and prone to 'sloshing'. The pour spout, along with that channel makes returning the dirty oil back into your oil jugs super easy. I usually let it sit nested inside the used oil jug to drip for a couple of hours, leaving very, very little residue. I've never spilled less. On sturdiness and durability, it is seriously heavy enough but not TOO heavy. Been using it for a couple of years and it gets wiped down after draining and kept out of the direct elements (an unheated shed) and it looks nearly like it did when I first bought it. No notes...

I’m really happy with this drain pan. It’s the perfect size for a standard oil change, and the anti-splash design actually works—I didn't end up with oil all over my driveway for once.
