This is a well made oil rain pan. Nothing flimsy here. The plastic is thick & tough. Has handy grab handles at the back & around the front spout for repositioning under the vehicle /controlling /sliding/ carrying heavy oil. I also use the hand front hole to hang /store it conveniently on the wall between use. A well designed rim lip keeps residual oil from running out when hanging on the wall. Nice! An 8qrt oil change for me means this high capacity oil pan is less than half full... so nothing sloshes out. Great size for larger car /truck oil changes. If you're a small import with chassis close to the ground & limited space you need something smaller & not as tall. This is for larger vehicles with more space under the carriage & more fluid to capture. I like to pour dirty oil into other containers for disposal & the snout pours smoothly /predictably. Sometimes use a funnel but often can pour it directly. Perfect for pick up trucks (like Toyota Tundra) where I'm dropping 8 quarts at a time. The old oil gushes out of the vehicle oil pan with a lot of pressure but the well designed deep sides contains the oil well /minimizes splashing. Unlike some styles that have a single one inch hole in the top for oil to flow into the bottom of the pan, this pan is a full bore, full flow, fully open, full capture pan & works without a hitch. BOTTOM LINE: Can't find any drawbacks. Caught it on sale at 15$. At higher bargain pricing this pan is worth it & gives top performance & will last several lifetimes. Good craftsmanship, smart engineering, tough material all make a dirty oily job a little easier. EASILY EARNS 5-STARS!

Great oil pan. I have tried many different enclosed oil pans that supposedly allow you to transport the oil it them to a disposal place (usually an auto parts store). They have ALL leaked. After I bought my F-250 diesel that holds 13 quarts of oil, I wanted to try something different. I saw this pan has great reviews so I gave it a try. It is awesome. Very sturdy, easy to clean. The spout is well designed and makes it easy to pour out the oil into a container to transport back to the auto parts store. I just used the 1 Gal jugs I just filled the engine with. So much better than the enclosed type. The one thing I will say is the capacity is misleading. It states it will hold 4 1/2 gallons of oil. I think that must be to the very top of the rim. I drained 3 1/4 gal of oil into it and I wouldn't want to put any more in. It would have made it very difficult to move without spilling everywhere. As it was with only 3 1/4 gal in it the oil was within an inch of the top rim of the pan.

excellent product very sturdy and easy to clean, I have used it for both oil and coolant, extremely easy to pour out the fluids back into the containers for recycling with minimal to no spills due to the spout system and the curved edges, my car takes 9 1/2 quarts of oil and it was no problem sliding it from underneath my car without spills. highly recommend if you're a DIYer like me.

This worked really well. The large diameter made catching the oil easy and the handles and pouring spout made pouring the oils into containers relatively easy. The stated capacity of this oil drain pan is 4.5 gal (16 liters), but actual capacity if under 4.0 gal. My first use was to drain 3.8 gal (14.4L) hydraulic oil from a John Deere 2025R tractor. There should have been excess capacity in the drain pan, but the 3.8 gal nearly overflowed. Transferring the used oil to smaller containers confirmed approx. 3.8 gal (less than 4.0 gal) of used oil present. If you require less than 4.0 gal of capacity - this is a great oil drain pan. If you're expecting to use the full 4.5 gal capacity - have absorbent materials handy for the overflow.

Have been looking for a cost-effective fluid drain pan, deep enough to where the oil/etc doesn't splatter over the top of the container and onto my garage floor when it first hits the bottom of the pan. That, coupled with the draining spout, made this the perfect drain pan for my purposes. If you like green, or even if you don't😄, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

My chickens were always tipping a regular chicken water container, so wouldn’t have water all the time, used a small wadding pool, which worked fine, but took up too much space. This is sturdy, holds enough for at least 24 hours and easy to clean because of the pour spout. Doesn’t get tipped and emptied!
