This is a well made oil rain pan. Nothing flimsy here. The plastic is thick & tough. Has handy grab handles at the back & around the front spout for repositioning under the vehicle /controlling /sliding/ carrying heavy oil. I also use the hand front hole to hang /store it conveniently on the wall between use. A well designed rim lip keeps residual oil from running out when hanging on the wall. Nice! An 8qrt oil change for me means this high capacity oil pan is less than half full... so nothing sloshes out. Great size for larger car /truck oil changes. If you're a small import with chassis close to the ground & limited space you need something smaller & not as tall. This is for larger vehicles with more space under the carriage & more fluid to capture. I like to pour dirty oil into other containers for disposal & the snout pours smoothly /predictably. Sometimes use a funnel but often can pour it directly. Perfect for pick up trucks (like Toyota Tundra) where I'm dropping 8 quarts at a time. The old oil gushes out of the vehicle oil pan with a lot of pressure but the well designed deep sides contains the oil well /minimizes splashing. Unlike some styles that have a single one inch hole in the top for oil to flow into the bottom of the pan, this pan is a full bore, full flow, fully open, full capture pan & works without a hitch. BOTTOM LINE: Can't find any drawbacks. Caught it on sale at 15$. At higher bargain pricing this pan is worth it & gives top performance & will last several lifetimes. Good craftsmanship, smart engineering, tough material all make a dirty oily job a little easier. EASILY EARNS 5-STARS!

After buying my first pickup truck after 60 years on the planet, I quickly determined that the 13+ quarts of oil in the 6.7L diesel engine wouldn't fit in my 2 ol' trusty oil drain pans that I'd been using for many years. I looked on the web for a suitable oil drain pan, and settled on this one. I haven't used it yet, but after carefully assessing its characteristics and robustness upon receipt am quite comfortable that it'll do the job while providing reasonable convenience. There's no perfect technical solution to design and sell a "perfect" drain pan, but this one appears to provide a very decent balance between affordability, weight, ease of draining, and ease of wiping out. It is much larger and definitely more rigid than the pan I've been using for over 25 years without major complaints, and the dimensions of the spout will allow me to safely pour the drained oil into my collection of 5 qt. jugs for recycling without having to use a modified funnel. I don't get too excited about oil drain pans, but it's quite possible that this will be the best one that I've ever used.

This is by far the best splashless oil drain bucket that I've ever used. The drain bucket is super thick, so i don't think it will break anytime soon. I expect quality with Capri Tools products and that's what I received. Thank you.

This pan does a very good job, and the built in handles make pouring out of the pan easy, and the pan stays still and stable as you pour. I have read many of the claims about this pan leaking , but that was not my experience at all. As a matter of fact, I tested the pan by filling it about 3/4 full with water, and leaving it in my garage for over five hours. It did not leak at all. I would highly recommend this pan. The plastic is not flimsy, it is thick enough to be strong enough to hold a lot of coolant, and it is easy and mess free to pour, as long as you go slow and don't slosh the coolant around while you're pouring it out.
