I'm not a professional mechanic per-se, but i am an inactively licensed aircraft mechanic many years removed so I find myself wrenching quite often. I absolutely love this tool kit the quality is high, fit and finish is tight and the storage case keeps everything in its place. The ratchet has push to release, it comes with extentions a universal joint and a breaker bar. Most importantly is it came with a larger swing of sizes than any other kit I saw. To have both short and deep sockets in both metric and standard all in the same organized case to me is invaluable! If you're on the fence about this product don't hesitate to buy it you will not be disappointed! ... show more

Mostly these are a good value for a very complete set. The deep sockets are reasonably deep, the set is very well organized and has basically every socket you'd ever need for non impact use. The wrench has an easy to use button to release the socket instead of a spring loaded ball which can be harder to operate, but it is easy to bump the lever for ratchet direction compared to dial type ratchets so you may want a different ratchet if you use it much. The case seems stout enough and clamps in 4 places so stays together securely. The downside is this set is so huge you probably won't be placing it inside of a tool chest, box, or any other container along with other tools and supplies to move it to where you'll be using it. At least it has a nice built in handle so that you don't need two hands to carry it so that helps offset the bulk. Honestly, if you've got the money, I recommend four containers of shallows and deeps for both SAE and metric so you can grab just the sets you think I'll need for a job and more easily store and maneuver them, but that will ultimately probably cost you more. If you have no idea if you'll need metric, SAE, deep or shallow for a task or are looking to save money overall, this set is handy. I can't speak to durability yet. ... show more

Works great. Being a shade tree mechanic I use what ever is at hand to tap ( or hammer) something in place. These sockets hold up awesome. Several have been used to press piston head pins out and in. For the price I would recommend to anyone. Just bought a second set for someone for Christmas.
