  • NP FZ100 For Sony A7R5
Model: USB C to NP-FZ100
I own a Nikon 1 J5 mirrorless camera, a Panasonic Lumix FZ2500 bridge camera, a Panasonic Lumix ZS99 point and shoot camera, but my pride and joy is my flagship high resolution Sony A7R Mark 5, the 61mp powerhouse of a camera. I bought the Sony specifically for astrophotography, which requires very long guided exposures, or several stacked exposures. To photograph a bright nebula, like M42, the Orion Nebula, takes 15 to 30 seconds per shot through a 500mm lens. Several shots over a 4+ hour session would run into a lot of batteries, and of course, the chance that a battery would die. It's essential to have a dummy battery connected to power block to avoid problems. The Sony can run on AC power, through a USB plug in the side. It requires a battery in the compartment. While powering the camera, it's also trying to recharge the battery. I worry about overheating, plus it isn't good for the battery. I never recharge batteries in electronics, unless it's a built-in battery. I use rechargers. A power block with dummy battery is the absolute best solution for use with cameras for long photo shoots, or if you don't want to lug a case full of batteries around with you. It allows continuity of power, resulting in the flawless operation of the camera, which preserves the expensive electronics in the camera . It also ensures that I have more than enough power for a entire night's session. Since the "stars" have to align just right, weather, moon phase, and object to be photographed, all in perfect timing, I sure don't need a battery to fail! I trust the Neewer name. They make quality photographic equipment. It was a no brainer to choose this dummy battery for my beloved Sony A7R5. The dummy battery fits perfectly and powers the camera flawlessly. What more could you ask for in a dummy battery? ... show more

  • Yeah man
Model: USB C to NP-FZ100
USB cable is a bit short, which makes it tough to reach without an extension cord. Compatible with any camera that uses the FZ-1000. Good quality, and decent value if you looking for a USB-C dummy battery

  • This has the voltage to handle the new Sonys
Model: USB C to NP-FZ100
Now I understand why you pay attention to the voltage rating. I have trusty old dummy batteries I used for a variety of Sony cameras bodies: A7iii, A7siii, and a ZV-E1. Worked great, no issues. I upgrade to the newer generation / more powerful bodies and all of a sudden my old dummy batteries couldn’t hack it. My A1 would quit / shut off after the first shutter actuation in a bracket and reset the camera, and my A7rv shut off whenever it felt like it. This one has the voltage to handle the newer / more demanding Sony camera bodies. If you’re comparison shopping, just get this one. ... show more

  • If you need to use your camera for a long time, this is a great solution
Model: USB C to NP-FZ100
Because of this dummy battery I no longer even worry about the battery life on my camera. The only worry now is if it overheats so stay in a cool area. I use a battery brick and I just keep it in my shirt pocket and literally means as long as that brick has charge I don't run out of battery. This is actually quite nice, especially when traveling ... show more

Have no problem with this dummy battery, everything works fine, just make sure to use a power bank with PD port.

  • Not typical NEEWER quality
Model: USB C to NP-FZ100
It works, but it runs hotter than it should. I’m not used to anything NEEWER less and perfect but this sort of looks like it’s a generic battery that they just branded. The bill quality isn’t so great and I’m worrying about overheating but so far it has worked. I will update your review after I put some more miles on it and we’ll see how it goes. ... show more
