Addressing Brightness Concerns: I've seen some comments suggesting that these lights aren't bright enough. However, in my experience, they've been more than adequate for my small studio space. They provide ample illumination for YouTube videos, even in challenging lighting conditions. These lights are fantastic and an awesome value but it really does depend on what your needs are an how you plan to use them. They're slightly smaller than I thought they would be, but this was not a huge deal for me because I'm using them for a very small YT setup in an 11' x 11' room. They're plenty bright and the build quality is good, bordering on great for the money. The stands work just fine if you are going to use the included barn doors or a small soft box, but anything larger and you're going to need more substantial stands. In my particular case, I do not intend to move these often. I use 2 of these as my key and fill light then use a small COB light as a hair light. Totally perfect for my needs. As they are quite small, I could see these being a good choice for run and gun-type scenarios, too, and they come with nice (enough) bags to carry them in. I don't have a need right now to run these off battery power but it's nice to have as an option. Looking back, I really didn't need RGB but it's also nice to have the option. The app seems ok but I didn't get too deep into it. It's good to know that should I upgrade my lights in the future, these could still function as colored accent lights. Overall, a very good buy. If you really don't need RGB, consider the bi-color and save even more.

I have been using these to make some youtube videos and while they have enough output for my use, I can't help but want a little more. They are easy to use, the app works well and is easy to set up and the build quality is very decent. What I wish was different was the mounting situation, adding a light box to these makes tilting them down impossible, they need a better solution for this, luckily I am a grip and have lots of stand (They cost more then this light) that I can use but for someone on a budget, factor in a $100 - $200 for a light stand if you plan to use these overhead or up and over your subject. I'd also love to see a better attachment solution for the barn doors, I don't want to have to pull out my screw driver every time I want to take them on or off. Other then the mounting and the barn door situation, the lights are great! If I did it all over I might consider a light with a little more output like a 60D or 100D from aperture. That being said because they have the RGB function, they have a bit of a leg up. All in all a very night kit for the price, just a few little nit picky thing i think they could fix in future versions.

These lights and stands are far better than I expected. The stands are so compact and yet are very tall. I agree its a bad idea to have power supplies dangling from the adapter cord so I either use a cable clamp I bought at Home Depot (see at bottom of first pic) or a little piece of Gorilla tape because I too don't want to bang up the power adapter port. Light throw is fantastic! I was hesitant because they seem smaller and have allocated half their bulbs to one temp but the throw is higher than expected. I have to light up two fighters facing each other and they deliver. Appearance is very pro. They are all solid metal, mount solid, and the carrying cases pack them safely. Nothing looks cheap or rigged. The app is really good too. I downloaded the app from the play store (android) and I was playing with these lights in a matter of minutes. I was able to figure out how to have 2 presets so that means I can have one setting for lighter skin people and another for darker skin people. This means less post adjustment time. I wished I had bought these sooner and I am excited to use these at my next gig. Update 4/15/2024: I have used these on dozens of gigs and still they work perfect. Keep in mind the range on the blutooth is limited to around 12 feet but its possible my phone is old. If these ever wear out, I am buying from this brand again.

FEELS heavy-duty and durable, and most definitely has held up to my standards. In terms of what you can do with the light, it displays almost, if not, every color on the spectrum - and does so with great brightness. In general, you can configure just about any light setting you would ever need to - and you can do so effortlessly through the control panel on the light itself or through the app that you can pair with it. Anyone who knows studio lights knows you can go out and spend an endless amount of money on them. There's such a variety of them. You can get a light for every circumstance. As someone who doesn't have an endless budget but has an endless amount of uses for a good lighting configuration - I can say that these will suit almost every need. I do everything from skateboard photography/videography to car detailing and paint correction. All of which require a good configurable light source. I have had these since around September 2021. Almost a year and a half later, and I'm coming back to buy another set.

The Neewer RGB lights are an extremely versatile all-in-one system that I have already used in many different applications from product photography, to portraits, video production, and even providing colored lights for various events. They are sleek and provide a lot of light with lots of customization available for brightness, hue, saturation, and the like. Even the packaging is really nice and provides a sleeve to fit extra wires or clamps, as well as storage directly below where the light sits above the foam padding. The material is a durable metal, I thought it would be plastic, especially the barn doors and housing on the lights are a high-quality metal. Another feature I appreciate is the compatibility with the mobile app. With my phone, I can control one or both lights with ease which really saves time and allows me to see exactly what settings I want, using the color wheel makes it so much easier. Overall, these lights really step up the quality level and really bridge the gap between amateur and professional production. With so much versatility and easy compact storage, you can't go wrong with these as they have served me a variety of different uses. They can turn any space into a photo or video studio.
