    • Amazingly good mic for such a low price
Plugged into an audio interface with 48 V phantom power these mics are amazingly good. I got 2 of them for podcasting and they have a very good balance between being sensitive enough and being too sensitive. My $200+ Yeti Pro is so sensitive it picks up the noise of a laptop fan sitting 5 feet behind me as well as every tiny noise for outside the house. These mics have enough sensitivity that you get a solid signal with more than enough gain but they don't pick up the tiny background noises. I did try using them with the included cable plugged straight into the computer. One worked pretty well that way and the other one had virtually no sound. Seems the hit and miss working plugged directly into a computer that many people mentioned is just up to random chance. But if you use phantom power as condenser mics are supposed to have both work great and I cannot notice any difference between the 2 mics. As long as you are using phantom power these are a fantastic bargain. If you want to plug direct into a computer it will be luck of the draw if it works or not. ... show more

    • Great deal - sounds great on Skype
I bought two of these for taking guitar lessons on Skype. They completely changed for the better the awful audio from my Logi HD camera when listening to my voice and especially the guitar. I think most Skype cams are tuned for human voice and noise rejection of everything else. I ran both mics into a Alto S-8 mixer and used tape out from the mixer into my sound card. While I would use better mic's for legacy recording these are great for Skype and just experimenting doing computer recording. It's hard for me to get my head around $17.99 mics sounding this good. For the ridiculous price, I just had to give one of these a try. I now use it for a daily broadcast and have used it on a video shoot. Would I use it a high-end recording studio? Probably not -- but for podcasting and other such voice applications, it's an amazing value.

    • Love my new mic. Sounds amazing!
I am loving my new microphone. The baby blue and silver color is very nice and compliments each other well. The shock mount is a vintage style and fits perfectly to my boom arm stand. It's tilt-able so I can move it closer or father away from my face and it's very protective and prevents the mic from shocking/vibrating when moved. Sound comes out amazing. I was legitimately blown away by the price of this microphone and honestly didn't think it was going to preform with any quality at all. I just thought it would be cool for my son to have something that resembled a professional set up for his videos he and his friends record online. Looking at their videos BLEW ME AWAY. I mean this thing preforms with the quality you would expect when you turn on your radio or watch television. I mean other mics similar to this one are hundreds of dollars more expensive, and yet i still cannot find one complaint to make about this cool little guy. Its even painted blue. Just yesterday, I received them and assembled quickly. I was operating alone, and I didn't encounter any difficult steps. Then I tested a round, the microphone is very sensitive, although there is a bubble that can block the noise, but still pay attention that do not have too much external sound. I bought this Mic because Roomie from youtube recommended it as a goid mic to start with. I bought it for the intention of my commentary video's on my youtube channel. Update 12/18/2019 After realizing that I don’t try to use it anymore I see that this mic is terrible. It’s good for singing but it’s terrible for streaming. I need to have my mouth against it just so I can have my voice picked up on it. I also own an MXL 990 and I can hardly hear the difference. The weight of the Neewer mic is nice. It feels like a "real" studio mic should. The aesthetic of the microphone is great too. It's a beautiful mic (blue / silver). Just make sure you have a power source to plug it into. Don't overthink it! Just buy the dang thing! You'll be glad you did. ... show more
