I’d recommended this over the Small Rig version or any other more expensive version. Exactly the same design and concept, but this model has a more comfortable, comfy rubber grip. Plugged it right in my FX3 and the record button works right away. Very convenient to have the record button on top for a rig with cables and other accessories surrounding the camera body. ... show more

Easy to install, good quality, love the material, but unfortunately the REC button not working with my Canon 5d mark4 nether Canon R5C, but I wish they put safety locks for the cold shoe

I put together a rig for my Sony VZ-1 to film for my YouTube channel @2A_CaliGuy, and having a record button easily accessible makes a hug difference. If you know the VZ-1 you know when it’s in a rig it can be a pain to hit buttons this makes it easy, and the grip is very comfortable.

    • Good top handle with record button through USB
This top handle is easy to secure into a cage without needing a tool. The silicone grip is comfortable and size is good, and the extra two cold shoe mounts come in handy. The record button requires a USB-C connection to work. In practice I found it a bit cumbersome to use, since it requires another cable to manage and I have to touch the camera to adjust the settings anyway. So I acquired this expressly for building out my SONY FX30 rig. I already have the same unit sans the record button (ZV-E10 rig) and figured that the record button would be of benefit to my FX30 setup. The grips are almost identical (both NATO) with the difference being the record button essentially replaces the 3/8" ARRI connection on the top of the handle. This only leaves two cold shoe (front and back), (4) 1/4"-20, and a lone ARRI connection toward the front. I do use the front ARRI for mounting a monitor and don't really miss the one that is on the top of the non-record button version of this handle. If you are building out a rig with a camera that can make use of the record button, I think this version is of benefit for the added convenience of an additional record button off the camera itself. ... show more

    • Looks Great.. but didn't come with a way to attach to my Fujifilm XT-5.
I'm new to the whole NATO thing.. This handle looks great and I thought it would attach directly to my X-T5 per the description, but nooooo. Turns out I need an additional product to mate the handle with my camera's hotshoe.. the NATO rail itself. So good luck with that.. the existing rails on the market seem to generate decent number of complaints about fit and compatibility. ... show more
