I bought this for my 14 year old son for Christmas. He absolutely loves it. He does stop motion and needed a light that had special effects. This light is small and portable. Great quality!

I really like this light. It works on AC, battery, or USB-C power. The colors are rich and accurate looking. The interface on the camera is great and easy to use. And the light itself is very small and portable. The mobile app really brings it all together, making it easy to pair, manage, and control no matter where the light might be mounted. The fan is also pretty quiet, unless you are very near to the light. There are some downsides, however. The case is all plastic. The mounting arm is tiny and offset from the body. It doesn't support a Bowens mount but instead needs some proprietary magnetic mounts for modifiers. The buttons and knobs are a bit wobbly and cheap, but functional. The power output at just 60W is at the very low end of usable. You have to get this light very close to the subject to use it effectively. If they made an 80W or 100W version of this, wrapped in aluminum, with a Bowens mount, for just a bit more money it would sell like hotcakes. This one really is a bit of a one-trick-pony, being a very portable low power light. It is great at what it does, but it could be so much more.

If you are in the market for ultra small and light, reasonably+ powerful, vibration free fan, flicker free light, don't hesitate and buy this! I bought four. If you have a need for that small lighting system you should not need Bowen mounts or metal construction or tall heavy mounts with umbrella option. It's a gem.

Loved this light, however I'm returning it because it's not consistent or reliable when using with Sony batteries or VMount batteries or portable charger. If I only intended to use it with DC power I'd keep it. When using battery, it works sometimes, but not always. Over half of my testing, I kept getting E4 error messages on the unit. A quick search online showed some others had same issue with Neewer lights. I need my gear to be "idiot" proof and mostly reliable.

The media could not be loaded. Today I'm reviewing this Neewer LED light, It is an RGB and comes with a very nice carrying case as you can see here. It has double zippers which makes it easy to open and close. You do have a fairly lengthy USB-C cable for powering or charging. You have your normal instruction booklets and then finally you have the light itself. Here you have a standard Bowens mount and the light itself. You can remove this diffusor to expose the light array, it easily screws off and on. The Bowens mount goes on nice and quick. Also included is a mini tripod which I'll be using now, and a light stand mount that has the standard quarter-twenty for the light and the receiver for the light stand. We are not going to use this today. For the review we will connect the mini tripod and get the bag out of the way. One thing to note is there is only USB-C for charging and power. There is a physical on/off switch which I really appreciate. We'll turn this on and you can see the little OLED screen light up to give you all the key information. It's very easy to change the mode with the mode button (RGB, HCL, white CCT). You can change your color temperature from as warm as 2500K to as cool as 7500k and you do have your green/magenta adjustments. The included battery supplies enough power for a full hour. You do have a fan that is built-in and, in my experience, has been quiet. Using the built-in screen, you can get to all these, but it can be kludgy at times, but luckily you also have the app. Which connects very easily and if you don't want to create an account with Neewer, you don't have to. There is actually a guest mode on the app that doesn't require any kind of registration. It found my light very quickly and once you've connected you can very quickly adjust the settings. In my experience it has been very responsive. I charged this using a wall adapter cable of 65-watts and it took just over two hours to fully charge the internal battery, but runtime was less than that at an hour maybe an hour and a half at full brightness. So, it does take longer to charge than it does to drain the battery. Overall, it's a great light, but can be a bit heavy at 3 pounds 9 ounces, but it's easy to carry. You can use the included mini tripod. For me it works great as a handle so you can get this light wherever it's needed. I'm rating this light five out of five stars. Pros - App control does NOT require registration - USB-C power enables flexibility - Charges at 66-watt (2-2.5 hours for full charge) - Includes a great carrying case Cons - Full White runtime a little under 1.5 hours - On-light controls can be kludgy
