  • Great drum microphone.
I love these drum microphones they sound great. Use it on my new Yamaha drums sounds Beautiful. I get a lot response from people at church. The bass mic is inside the bass drum I got a Gibraltar internal mic holder for the bass drum. All mics are running in my Behringer mixer. Have someone help you if you not sure about justing the sound. Make shure that person know about mixer and sound. Mic’s also very well built metal and good quality. The clips for mic are made of good quality plastic. Took me a while to put on the rim course it’s new. Needed to stretch the clips other then that it’s E-Z to put on/ off. I recommend these microphones. ... show more

  • Mic big kits on a budget
If you're looking to record the sound from a large kit, two of these microphone sets won't demolish your bank account (we're talking a quarter of what you'd pay for a similar mid-end setup) yet will provide some surprisingly good audio. Initially I just wanted to be able to record my drums and with this price range I didn't expect anything specific from these mics other than a slightly better result than if I recorded the kit with one mic in the room... what I got sounds above those expectations; it's not your perfect, punchy top-notch studio sound, no, but with very little effort I already have a sound that's decent enough for demo tracks and with a bit more work, I can actually get great sound out of these. If you're hesitating on these worrying that the sound would be outright terrible, I can confirm this is honestly not the case. They're quite good. Hoping to see these last forever. ... show more

  • Perform higher than their price point
Had these for over a year now. Was very surprised at how well these reject sound from cymbals/hi hats on snare/toms. I already had a nice kick mic and a couple of SM 57’s for snare top/bottom, so I use these strictly on Toms/additional snare top. The OH’s are usable, but you would probably want to upgrade to better OH mics eventually. I will probably mess around with using the condensers as some spot mics and see how it sounds. For under $120 these are great on toms/snare and having the hard case makes this a good option for a gigging band that doesn’t want to risk bringing expensive gear on the road. ... show more

  • Great value - improved the quality of my home recordings
I am a hobby musician and I love to record myself with Garageband in my "home studio." I had been using 20-year-old, cheap Radio Shack microphones prior to buying these. The improvement has been significant. I had a lot of difficulties getting the snare mic to sound acceptable. The mic did not pick up any of the snare wire sounds. I researched snare mic placement online and realized that might be the issue. I switched the mic to a boom stand instead of the provided clip to get more flexibility and placement options. This solved the issue 100%. With this adjustment, the set is exactly what I need. ... show more

  • Holy cow... THESE drum mics are a bargain !!!
The media could not be loaded. I'm no sound guy and not a drummer. I'm the front man (and main financier, LOL!!!) of a local GenX/Y indie-rock band; and for what we need, this mic set is spot on. I recently upgraded to a new digital mixer so we could multitrack record practices and performances, and we finally have enough inputs to track the whole drum set. So we needed a set of drum mics, and like all mics these days, prices go from crazy cheap to crazy expensive. Since I'm NOT a sound guy or a drummer, I picked this Neewer mic set because (a) I've used Neewer equipment previously which worked out okay; and (b) I'm paying for all this stuff myself. Let's get this out of the way: the little case they come in is kinda cheesy, and heaven only knows how these mics will hold up over time. Those are my only two caveats. The first time out of the box, I only setup the kick mic and the two overheads as you see in the video, then hit record. (Note: the overheads are condenser mics that need phantom power.) What you hear in the video above is NOT a pure dry signal directly from the mics. It's a sample section from a recent multi-track practice recording that has been tweaked a bit in post-production - and it's not a great mixdown. But the point is this: what you hear IS what YOU can can get with just 3 of the 7 mics in this kit, and some free DAW resources. For our next gig, we gonna mic up the entire set (yes, we spot checked the 4 tom mics) and I can't wait to hear how good that sounds. Final answer: This Neewer 7pc drum mic kit is HIGHLY recommended, and if you know how to fiddle around a little in your DAW, this Neewer kit may be unbeatable in this price range. JM2C ... show more

  • Best sound for the price!!
Update: I'm still using them. The mic for my snare has been whacked a bunch of times already, and no rattle, no issues. All I can say is wow! The sound quality for this price is amazing!! I just got them, so I can't comment on how long they'll last, but the hardware appears durable, and the case they came in its much better than I expected. I had some digital references that I got from guitar center a few years ago. (I paid the same for only 4 mics) and everything about these is better. Condenser mics work great with phantom power. All the toms sound big and phat. Bass and snare sound amazing. I'm very happy with these mics. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for
Easy to set up. Nice case for storage or travel. Sound quality is not the greatest. For the money, dont expect it to be. The kick drum mic is pretty dull. The snare and Tom mics arent terrible. Condenser mics are below average. Not a bad deal if you are on a budget but I'd suggest you save up and go higher quality. ... show more
