A slight bit tight but I think it’s supposed to be that way. I am 5’5 and 160 pounds so I’m not skinny but not too fat. I was not sure if I was measuring right. But this was the perfect size for me. Also I usually wear a size 12 jeans. So I hope this helps you to figure out what size to order. Also I read to only wear it during the day or when you are not up and about so my knee could bet good blood flow at night to assist in healing. But it does give good support. I’m pretty shocked and wish I had gotten it sooner. I’ve had on and off knee pain for years. I’ve always used an adjustable strap one and it used to work but it wasn’t helping lately. I found this and it has helped so much. I followed the sizing recommendations and it fits great I have not had to adjust it one single time. The design keeps my knee in place and stops it from moving in the wrong way and pulling on that painful spot. I’m not entirely sure what is wrong with my knee I’ve never had it checked as it seems to get injured then go away a few days later. This time though I’m going on 3 weeks because I keep irritating it and not resting it. I am so happy I got this. It’s helped so much. I was able to go out on a family outing today for 5 hours carrying my kids and walking a lot and I felt zero pain and I never had to adjust it. I like the knee brace it’s easy to get on and off and it puts a decent amount of pressure on my knee. The only bad thing about them is the stuff they put in them on the inside is glued in and they came off. I had to sew them in the brace and that wasn’t easy. So I bought another one so I could change them out when they get dirty. The other one I bought so far have stayed in secure. Although the listing instructions say to measure the leg circumference 5.5 inches above the kneecap, this might not be the case for special cases. Although I measured the leg circumference 5.5 inches above the kneecap, I could not pull this brace over the kneecap. The extra small did not work and I needed a larger size (small). Perhaps it would have worked for a "normal" person, but the prescribed measurement technique did not work for me as my kneecap to leg circumference ratio is non-standard. I have been wearing a knee brace with the wrap around straps fairly successfully. It was getting old so decided to try the "SOCK". Very happy. My only problem is getting it off because I have difficulty bending far enough. Not a product problem, mine. Only suggestion, put a strap on each side to grab hold of to pull it on. I'm recovering from a ruptured knee injury. Surgery back in April. When I was allowed to use brasses of my own picking, I chose this brace because it looked comfortable and had material that would cover my kneecap. This place has been good for the most part. The one thing that happens is it ends up spinning on me sometimes or sliding downwards. Therefore I have to readjust it a few times a day. When it does shift by spinning around the brace part that should be on the side can end up being over the knee and the other brace slightly behind your leg which can interfere with walking. I recommend using this brace for around the house and be very mindful for what you step. This brace does not help if you have an expected step down. Horrible pain I felt with an unexpected step down of 2 inches. The supports in either side were not strong enough to absorb the unexpected drop of my foot of 2 inches. Becareful with all braces they aren't tailored to our needs or our legs, swelling, or many other factors. ... show more

I Love this product. I received it and put it on immediately. I found it very supportive and it felt wonderful for my Bone on Bone Arthritic knee. However after only 2 weeks it stretched out and kept falling down my leg. I kept it and thought to reorder in a smaller size BUT that was too tight. I honestly world love to purchase another one but I don’t know if it will stretch out so quickly. I would love to return this and be compensated with a new one if possible. I’ve only had it for under 3 weeks. I think it may have been defective. Thank you, Beth G ... show more

    • Too bulky and doesn't pay off that bulk with any additional stability.

This thing looks thick in the pictures and feels even thicker to wear somehow. It doesn't slip or slide or bunch as much as you might imagine, given its bulk and weight. That's not to say it doesn't at all, but once you get out there and start running or whatever, you probably won't have too many issues assuming you get the right size for your legs. That said, there's really no point in my experience. It's weight, its over engineered little gel pockets and the flimsy plastic braces sewn into the sides of this thing do nothing. The gel ring around the knee cap is only good for making sure you have it straight on your knee and the plastic guides sewn inside of it are too weak to keep your knee in line as you move around with it. It might be good for winter runs, as it is incredibly thick and the weave is really dense, but that feels like its only strength. It also has a really tough time with burrs, pulling them off of the fabric causes it to pull out tufts of the material with it, so if you live in a rural area, or run on trails that have weeds that track burrs and stickers, this is basically service built for getting them stuck on it and ruining the look of it when you try to get them off afterwards. If you live in a place that is chilly to downright cold most of the year, this might be something to have in your training arsenal due to its incredible thickness, but otherwise there are much better options in my opinion. ... show more
