I went from a king to a twin bed. Searched for a while until I found this one. It came in a box right to my front door. I was able to bring it inside by myself, im 64 yrs old. It was easy to open and place on my bed frame. It was completely done fluffing up by bedtime. When I laid down on my bed it was soft, cradles your body. I loved it, but....when I went to turn around, I had some trouble. Your sunk into the mattress. Not sunk in like the mattress just swallowed you whole but with my bad back, it was tough trying to turn over. After giving the mattress 1 week for me to get use to it, I loved it. The only thing I do regret is not getting the mattress cover that keeps your body cool. I do get hot under the covers some nights which I never have done with spring mattresses. It's really good in the winter because it will keep you warm, but in the summer, you'll wish you got the mattress cover. I have no regrets buying this mattress other than the mattress cover. I’ve never had a foam mattress before, and I’m glad I went with Nectar. The mattress feels squishy pushing it with my hand, medium-firm when laying on it, doesn’t hit my pressure points, and molds to me. There was zero smell, which is good because I can be quite smell sensitive. It seemed to fully expand within 5 minutes, and slept on at about the 7 hour mark (though claims can further expand over 48 hours). Met the full 12 inch height, comes with a soft zipped cover, no sagging at the corners. All around best purchase so far this year. ... show more

Do not buy this mattress. Most of these reviews are done right when the customer opens the box. Everything out of the box is going to feel great. I purchased the Cal King 2 years ago. The mattress foam has totally broken down and it is no longer a supporting mattress. They say medium firm, but it is definitely medium, soft. The only firm spot on the mattress is the center that divides the two people sleeping on it. They offer the Forever Warranty... but it is only for stitching and cosmetics, not for a complete breakdown of the product. When I sit on the mattress, it goes straight to the box spring. There is no support. I wake up in pain every morning. This is not Amazon's fault but Nectars. Amazon is only the distributor. Nectar fools you into thinking this mattress will last and they have your back. I bought a mattress from IKEA that was half the cost and lasted 8 years. Do not buy this mattress, there are better products out there. ... show more

I'd slept on a memory foam mattress for the last 7 years and it was great. A sealy brand mattress. I tried this one out as it's a much better price. It's comfortable, and stable, but a little firmer than I expected. I'm a heavy guy, so this firmness is recommended for me. I now know I prefer a slightly softer mattress. That said, some back pain I've had after sleeping on a very firm spring mattress for a few months has subsided some. ... show more

    • Say Goodbye to Borrowing a Truck to Get a Mattress, But There are Problems

It really does just come to you in a box. It took two people to lift it a flight of stairs, but it is an entire mattress in a box. The package was mostly shredded during shipping because this substantial compressed sumo wrestler overpowered the weak cardboard walls. The bed itself is wrapped in several layers of shrink wrap. Removing it takes a while, ensuring you don't cut the bed. Once you finally get that cover all off, the mattress does start to rise a little, but the magic part happens when you cut into the thicker plastic bag that contains the bed. You get a temporary vacuum cleaner as the air rushes in. Next, you'll need to remove the whole bag to allow the mattress to rise. We let ours sit for a week because we didn't have a bed frame yet. The bed itself was comfy at first. The only complaint I would have compared to spring mattresses is with the sides. They don't hold you in as well as a spring mattress. But you also don't have individual springs lifting you. Quite a while ago, I had a spring break through the bed topper and jab me in the hip; it's not fun. It sleeps ok. My wife says it sleeps great. Other problems include getting rid of your old bed and possibly box springs. We opted for a heavy-duty bed frame because you don't use a supporting box spring underneath. ** UPDATE - 1 Month In ** This bed is not as great as we had hoped. The worst part is the sides. When going from a king to a California king sized bed, I wasn't concerned with losing a few inches on either side. But with how un-sturdy the sides are, you lose 12, maybe 18 inches on both sides. I'm considering turning the think ninety degrees. If you sleep near the side, you will roll off the bed. The lack of sturdiness in a bed like this is concerning. I will probably try to claim the warranty and send it back. Also, compared to our previous bed, I have limbs falling asleep at a high rate. ... show more
